Hotel Im Kupferkessel is a family-owned (for over 30 years), well run, clean, and affordable hotel in a great location. A 10-minute walk from the train station and then just short walks to shopping, restaurants, etc. I had a single room with shared bath (just down the hall) and photos of both are included. Breakfast was very good ...great coffee....

This hotel is conviently located right in the center of Cologne about a 10 minute walk from the Dom. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable although I hate those flat German pillows...those are everywhere though. The only toiletries in the room are soap so be sure to bring along your own shampoo. Breakfast is good and included. You...

We had a good quality stay at Hotel Im Kupferkessel. Nice friendly owners, most helpful. Room’s tastefully decorated a change from bland IBIS hotel rooms. Everything spotlessly clean and a great breakfast each morning. Would recommend to anyone staying in Cologne.

Very good value. Clean room, very good breakfast. Good location between the cathedral and ring road around central Cologne (where there are many good restaurants). Nice, friendly staff (who speak Engish if required) Great value overall and I would certainly stay again

I stayed here for 1 night when the world cup was on; this is a great little place at a decent price. Quite a cool B&B and the manager was sound, the cheapest mini bar I have come across and the breakfast was good to. 10 minute walk to the Dom and station. Would recommend this B&B if your after...

I stayed at the Hotel Im Kupferkessel for 9 days during June when I was in Germany for the World Cup. It's a nice little hotel, but be warned there is no lift, so don't bring alot of clothes or big suitcases. It was very hot during the time I stayed there, and the hotel has no air conditioning. I...

Great little hotel near everything in Cologne. The breakfast was very good. The beds were comfy and great water pressure for the shower. We liked the hotel very much. Just as an fyi, there is no elevator.

Stayed in this quietly located B&B for 3 nights. For the price outstanding quality and service. Rooms were kept very clean, however a little noisy, i could hear pretty much everything that was going on in the room right next to me which was a bit of a turn off however on the upside the home cooked breakfast in the...

Enjoyed our 3 night stay at this Hotel. Good location, most places within walking distance. Losts of places to eat nearby even for the most difficult diet. Room spacious and clean. Sandra and her husband very helpful in fact you felt like you got personal service. They make sure everything is to your satisfaction - breakfast etc and do something...

Just returned for Cologne yesterday after 3 days intensive visiting the ISM Sweet show. I got a clean and quit room for me to rest. In the morning the owner/Manager, Sandra, prepare a nice breakfast for me to start off my day. She is very helpful. I will come back in the future.

“My room was top floor at the back. I get the idea that no rooms have great views as the hotel is on a quiet, narrow side street with more buildings and small gardens at the back. You also may not have a choice if you've booked a certain type of room (i.e. with shared bathroom). I guess the main request you could make is for a certain floor if you think you'll have difficulty with the stairs.”
