Stayed here last weekend, to visit Xmas markets. The hotel was very central, our room on the 1st floor looked on to the Rhine, was clean, warm and very comfortable. The breakfast each morning was good, fruit, warm and cold foods, and a selection of breads. We were very close to everything, walked everywhere. The staff were very helpful, recommending...

Clean spacious rooms that are very quiet even on street side, cheap delicious breakfast, decent priced parking, very close to old town (and when in season Christmas markets), a warm welcome and helpful staff. What more can you ask for! We enjoyed our stay! Small remark - brewery/restaurant also seems to have some sort of a connection to hotel but...

Impeccably clean rooms, cheap yet delicious breakfast, 2 minutes walk to the center of the old town, everything is walking distance actually, male front desk night clerk much more accommodating than the female daytime desk clerk.

Breakfast waitress was fantastic. Really friendly and helpful. As soon I as told her I was a coeliac she asked if I wanted gluten free bread and for the next three mornings had it ready and still warm for me at 9.00. Room size was adequate with loads of storage room. Went with 2 other couples and all rooms were...

This is the second time we have stayed here so we must like it! Convenient underground parking right next to the hotel and only 5 minute walk to the centre of town. Overlooks the river, has free wifi, comfortable beds.

Good location. Comfortable, quiet and clean room. Good wi-fi in room on second floor. Staff mainly polite and helpful and gave good local directions and information. Breakfast was good apart from everything that should be hot was actually cold (sausage, egg and bacon). When staff were informed, nothing was done about it. Main reason for stay in Cologne was to...

Location good Breakfast good Rooms ok, but smelled strange Watch out if you want to pay by credit card. We wanted to pay in Euros but were charged in GBP without being asked -at a very poor exchange rate.

During my visit to Cologne, I spent two nights in Hotel Allegro. It's very nicely located and close to pretty much everything in the city center. Well, Cologne is the small city, but anyway ... Rooms and hotel in general are clean. Service and staff are very nice and helpful. Hotel provides their own parking space (in the garage in...

Good points - comfy bed even though it was a single, decent bathroom, nice toiletries, cute hallway, food at the restaurant next door was pretty good, breakfast was varied. Location was good for the river where there are wonderful restaurants and the chocolate museum. Downsides - noisy even through the night with loud traffic noise, slanted roofs that would have...

Having stayed in a number of hotels in this area, I must say I really liked this one. I got a special offer through trivago which resulted in the hotel only costing me around €20 for the night. The room was clean, the bed was really comfy, the bathroom was immaculate. While the staff were not overly friendly, they weren't...
