The breakfast was good, but that was the only good thing about my 2 night stay, not only did my lamp not work but I was beckoned over by the owner who could not even speak English threatening me with a 50 Euro cleaning charge for which you have no evidence, I challenge the owner who is refusing to talk...

Dear Matt, thank you for your feedback and the compliment to our breakfast. Unfortunately, we found your room in an unacceptable condition. Since our cleaning staff took a lot of time to make a room as good as it was, with a complex cleaning. We asked you to pay attention, so that no extra costs are incurred. This was obligingness...

We stayed here for 1 night for the England game in Dortmund. Fantastic location just 100 yards or so from the main train station. Our room was huge and modern, plenty of space. Bathroom was fine and bets comfortable. Also the receptionist was very friendly when we checked in and out.

We loved our stay at The Grey Hotel! Very comfortable and clean, close to the train station and at the center of the city. Very recommended! If I'll happen to visit Dortmund again, The Grey Hotel would be my first choice.

Excellent location near the main railway station, city centre and the football museum, tidy rooms, stylish lobby and breakfast room. Ample breakfast. Very helpful and kind staff. Parking possible in the yard. Excellent shopping area around the hotel. Quiet street, traffic does not disturbe. Stadtbahn station within walking distance, museums, concert hall and opera, as well. Genuine value for money!

Situated in a quiet back street, this hotel is very convenient for the railway station. Its rates are very reasonable, and I could find no fault with my stay. A clean, comfortable and well-equipped room; friendly and helpful staff; a very good buffet breakfast.

Great location in a quite street in walking distance from the train station. Nice rooms, big showers, amneties, big beds, very smooth bed linen, balcony - and all that for less than 70 €! What else does a business traveller need? A good breakfast and guess what: that's included!

We stayed here whilst visiting the Christmas Market, and found it perfectly situated for sight seeing. Our room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. We only had breakfast but food was plentiful and delicious will stay here again. Early booking might help as small hotel compared to others.

“You don't have to book the hotel parking, there is a public parking next door that you can use over night for free, so if you leave early in the morning, safe the money. If you have problems with strong light you shouldn't take a room to the inner courtyard. There are very strong lights for this parking and they don't switch off in the night, so you might be disturbed. If you are not patient and don't want to wait long for an elevator, don't take rooms in the upper levels, the elevator is a mess - but that's the only mess in that hotel.”
