The reception claims to be open from 9 AM - 1PM and then from 3PM-8PM. Not true! Couldn't get into the hotel for ages. The intercom system doesn't function properly. After trying the intercom for 20 minutes I finally got a response from a very unhelpful man who told me I didn't have a reservation. Well I did - the...

Germany’s answer to Fawlty Towers: • 24 hour reception - not true. A barely audible intercom system replaces this. It took us a while to get into the hotel. • The special offer price per night of 220 Euros, reduced to 86 Euros was hard to believe. • Parking – only 3 spaces. We were told off for using 2....

I stayed there twice and had a different room each time. Both were clean, fitted with stylish furniture (one was like in a castle). The shower is big enough. Wifi was working at both times. The breakfast buffet is delicious. The biggest plus for me was that the hotel is in a quiet location and I could hear no cars...

Some hotels can themselves be fine or at least fine in many respects and still not be a success. I stayed a 2nd time in HaV last week. It has charm and style and the price is right. The neighborhood is not great, but I do not need to impress anyone or buy a fancy watch on the block where...

If you look for a cozy and very well kept small hotel with a personal touch, this could be the one. I was impressed by the care for detail - and by the really great breakfast-buffet. Not as big as in many other places, but with a very good selection of things. And the prize of this hotel is really...

Please be aware that the hotel isn't like it looks on the web site. Extremely small rooms, old and cheap furniture, old towels and linens, no elevator, wi-fi doesn't work, the shower was horrible, too. I strongly recommend chosing another hotel in Düsseldorf.

1. The localisation of this hotel is bad, especially if you travel by car (no parking facilities, area overcrowded by cars...) 2. The rooms are extremely exiguous, very small with high ceiling: you feel as in an asylum... 3. Rooms are furnished with cheap furniture, bed linen is bad & insuficient (1 pillow for a double bedroom, but no one...

This hotel is lovely - all of the rooms are decorated differently (I had a sneak peek at some when the cleaner had the door open!). Our room was very calm and 'shabby chic', small bathroom but powerful shower. The breakfast is a good choice of cold fish, meat, cheese, bread, cake, yoghurt etc. It is a little way out...
