The Batavia was an excellent hotel, very clean, and in an ideal location for visiting the many bars and christmas markets. The staff where very helpfull and the buffet breakfast gave us a good hot and cold choice of food that was served between 7am and 10 am. For beer lovers the nearby Schumacher brewery is a must visit, along with... More

From the reviews here we expected quite a good hotel, but we booked it for the location and the price which was good. 130 euro for 2 nights which was great considering the location of this hotel which was the best part. Reception was ok, they spoke good english which was good. No one mentioned on their review that the... More

The Batavia Hotel deserves the high ranking here in TripAdvisor. The location is just about perfect, with good access to rail, bus and roads. Walking-distance from many restaurants & shops, although you're a good 20-30 minute walk from the river and the Gehry building. The rooms are a bit dormatory-like, with a 2nd door separating the bedroom from the entrance/bathroom.... More

I go to Dus most weeks for a few days as an independent contractor. Been working this way since the beginning of the year and have stayed in approx 11-15 different hotels in the city. Batavia is the one that offers the best value overall. Its bang in the centre, excellent breakfast which is included in the price. Nice clean... More

Hotel Batalvia provides excellent value. Rooms clean, bed firm, and a complete breakfast (eggs, toast, yogurt, cereal, juice, rolls, meat, cheese) all for about $100/night, double occupancy. Hotel exterior, stairway and elevator are very dated, but don't be dissuaded by this. Close to airport. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Hotel Batavia's value can't be beat.

I was really delighted with my stay at this hotel. Everything was so incredibly clean and comfortable and the staff were always friendly and helpful. It was quiet and also very near to the Konigsalle and other interesting parts of town and was great value for money. My boss stayed in the Hilton and had to pay for his internet... More

We stayed in the Batavia Hotel for three nights in January 2008. Don't be put off by the antiquated lift - the rooms are clean, reasonably large, and modern, with cable TV and a mini bar (certainly in ours) A good large bathroom, with a powerful, moveable shower finished the room off. Free internet is provided in the Hotel lobby.... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed in Batavia Hotel in the begining of july. Location is perfect, just under 10 min. from hauptbahnhof and approx. 15 min to altstadt by foot. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast. Our room was big and the toilet modern and practical. No sounds from the street if the windows were closed and extra pillows in... More

We stayed at the Batavia for three nights mainly we wanted a base as we were going to see Geneysis at the LTU Arena. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy and the minibar (soft drinks) was not unreasonably priced. The breakfast was good with much variety for such a... More
