The Schlosse Tavern is just below the Schlosse and Dom Square in Meissen. It is in the old City centre and within easy walking distance of the River Elbe. The Owner was very welcoming and could not do enough for us, the student who worked there at weekends was delightful and able to converse in fluent English. The Hotel is...

We loved our stay here. Thank you! Such a nice welcome despite our late arrival and language barriers. The room is fabulous, enormous and nicely decorated throughout. Meissen is so pretty and the location is brilliant. Sadly we were too late to have dinner but the restaurant looked brilliant, breakfast certainly was. Thank you, we had a great stay and...

My friend and I were very happy to stay in this tavern. It is set in a beautiful stone building dated back to 1500. There is a huge fully equipped apartment with many windows all looking at the quaint street below, that leads to the castle. The snow made it look like a fairytale place. My girlfriend and I traveled around southern Germany and stopped in Meissen for one night before going to Berlin. We looked extensively at hotels and decided on Schloss Taverne, mainly because of the pictures. Well, that didn't tell all.
