The Handelshof is an unprentious hotel just opposite the Nordhausen train station. My room was almost Spartan, but the Wi-Fi worked, I slept well and the breakfast was adequate. The staff are not fluent in English, but they are friendly and helpful.

I stayed here for a total of 8 weeks over multiple business trips in 2016 and always felt comfortable and well cared for. The hotel does not have all amenities of a large city hotel but it makes up for that with small-city charm and character. There are many great restaurants within a short walk. Train station is 1 minute...

We didn't know what to expect from this 3 star as we usually stay in 4 star hotels but there were none in this smaller community. The service was very friendly, and room was very clean and neat. The breakfast was included and quite expansive and served on the top floor with a nice view.

Eight of us stayed here as a stopover on a weekend tour of the Harz steam railway. The hotel is 100 metres from the station. It was clean, neat and well kept. The reception staff were helpful and spoke good English, making up for your poor German. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Breakfast was traditional German with cereal, bread,...

This is a hotel that does what it says on the packet. It is friendly, clean and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was fine if unoriginal. My room was large even though it only had a single bed. Shower was superb. Wifi was free (but not very fast). An excellent place to stay if visiting the Hartz steam railway.

I was travellling on the Steam Narrow gauge line which arrives and departs from an excellent transport interchange (Trams/Buses/DB Rail/HSB rail) just round the corner from the Hotel. The room was very nice (the best of my tour) and the breakfast was excellent quantity and quality. An attentive member of staff was quick to ensure all your requirements were met...

The hotel is a typical 3* experience. You get what you pay for. Rooms are fine and extra bed for kid is a standard bed. Breakfast is good. Apparently there is not WIFI in all rooms (may be a hidden SSID). The hotel is located right next to the main street, railway station and trams are running just outside the...

Right opposite the DB station, with tram and bus stops, this is easy to get to. There is no free wifi but you can pay, though it is not cheap. Breakfast is good enough though, and the hotel has some parking spaces. There is not much close by in terms of eating, just a pizza place next door. It is...
