This hotel reminded me of the personalized attention you used to get in the days of yesteryear. The atmosphere is homey with a retro flair. The accommodations are quite comfortable. The rooms are a nice size and despite the busy highway below there is no noise as the sliding glass doors are double paned. The balcony with table and chairs overlooking the Mediterranean is great to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing. If you want a sterile modern hotel don't stay here. We were greeted each time we arrived by one of the owners and treated to first class attention.

We only stayed one evening but it was a fantastic evening. There was ample parking. We were greeted with a smile at reception and was booked in very quickly. The gentleman on reception talked us through the facilities and then accompanied us to our room. We were on the second floor to the front of the hotel which had an un-interrupted view of the sea. Although the hotel is on a busy main road there are double patio doors to the balcony so no noise at all from the road, on the balcony was a small table and two chairs. The room was well layer out with a double and a single bed. The tv was facing the bed on the wall along with an air conditioning/ heater unit.and a free standing small refrigerator. The bathroom had a shower over a bath with a glass screen. There was a toilet and a bidet. Along with ample towels, soap and shampoo and conditioner. Along the corridor from our room was a lounge area with books and magazine in various languages. On the ground floor had a coffee shop area. Out side the front of the hotel were chairs and tables where people were sat having drinks. The hotel was ideal for people visiting La Duquesa marinaand the surrounding area.

Very comfortable stay at this superbly run hotel on the main road into Sotogrande and Gibraltar. It is beyond clean (congrats housekeeping) and I say that as someone who is pedantic about these things. We met with one of the brothers and his wife in this family run hotel and couldnā€™t have asked for more hospitable hosts. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Would stay again in a heartbeat despite the slow internet and the busy road. We really enjoyed the outdoor space as we like to be home by dark. The orange juice at breakfast is freshly squeezed (my favourite) and the coffee and toast was fresh and sandwiches were very tasty. We stayed 3 nights and would happily have stayed longer. 5* for cleanliness and service. I hesitated to book as it is a 2* rating on Booking.com and I never book less than 3* but after reading all the lovely reviews I decided to take a chance and I am SO glad we did. Thank you so much - your team is awesome and we had a great time checking out all the areas close by, Sotogrande, La Duquesea, Estepona, Casares, Manila and Sabillinas.

The place was immaculate clean, the 2 brothers who own it could not do enough to make us more welcome. breakfast was brilliant, they could not do enough for us. Arrived late due to flights and arranged food and drinks for us at the drop of a hat, outstanding Hotel and can highly recommend this to anyone. And they can expect to see both Jens in the future. Thank you

I have NOT stopped here, but I pass it every day on the way to and from work. What the reviewers surpringly omit to say is that it is within twenty metres of the busy four-lane highway between Estepona and Gibraltar/Algeciras. To get to the beach on foot it is necessary to use the nearby footbridge. As the hotel is 50 metres from a roundabout, trucks and other vehicles are constantly breaking for the roundabout and then accelerating away from it. All that separates the bedrooms from the road is the narrow parking strip of the hotel.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very nice. We got a room facing the very busy road, but that was not a problem since the balcony doors were soundproof. It was very nice to have a sea view to wake up to, even though it was a bit too noisy from the road to actually sit on the balcony.
You will need a car to stay here, as the beach that lies close by is a rocky beach, also, not any decent restaurants within walking distance.
The breakfast options (not free) was not really to my liking. All bread was wrapped in plastic and very hard to get a sugar free breakfast option.
The beds were a bit on the hard side, but still ok. Good Wifi.

We booked this hotel for its location: mid- way between Estepona and Sabanillas/Duquesa. Rooms were basic but clean and tidy. My bedside lamp didn't work and there were no glasses or plastic cups left in the bathroom to use. The breakfast menu looked varied but we were offered only a very limited choice and had to sit in the bar to eat it. However, it was fresh and tasty and the family team of two brothers and their mum tried very hard to ensure everything was to our liking. They were very friendly and caring - especially as we found the bar area closed at only 9 pm. They explained that the bar was only open for breakfast and up to 12 noon! When we insisted we have at least a coffee and brandy as our ' nightcap ', Mum relented and did us proud! If you want a quirky stop over with unusual catering and don't mind a lack of fans or air- con in the public areas during a hot summer, then give it a try. We thought the whole experience was a delight!

We were having difficulty locating a hotel and came across this hotel which was right off the highway. I thought the room would be noisy facing the highway, but we heard no highway noise. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Very friendly staff helped us find a restaurant close by. Very reasonably priced. Nice continental breakfast with great coffee which, by the way, staff said, "The most important part of a trip is a good bed and good coffee." Have to agree.

We booked this hotel to stay one night as we were seeing friends in the area. It was easy to find. At reception the process of booking was very good. We had a room on the second floor with a sea view but the downside is you are the busy main road but the car noise did not disturb us at all. Rooms were large and clean, we had a sunken bath and a shower. The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The only downside was the restaurant did not seem to be open however the Bahia beach restaurant is only 5 minutes away and the food is fantastic

This hotel is ideal for one night stays as its halfway between Estepona and Manilva and there are no other restaurants or bars nearby, that's its only drawback. Apart from that we found our room very spacious and clean. Although we arrived at 10.00 am we were given a room and the service is second to none. We found the staff to be very helpful and attentive at all times. Everything work properly and the bath/shower was very clean. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again.
Although the hotel is located by a four lane motorway the windows are double glaced and there is no noise. Its advisable to book this hotel if you have your car.
