So we travelled to Malaga after spending 4 days in Seville. On arrival we were looking for the hotel that we booked the 'Silken Puerta Hotel' - but during the time that we had booked to arriving (which was late Decemeber) the hotel had changed name/owners and no-one had bothered to let us know - just an email or something...

We arrived here on Friday 13th January....as we approached the hotel, my phone GPS kept telling me that the hotel had permanently closed down! So unsure of what to expect, we went into the hotel and they clarified to us that they had now taken over the Hotel Silken Puerta Malaga. We were just happy that we had somewhere to...

Pros of this hotel. It's very easy to get to from the airport. 3 stopsat €1.80 to the Maria Zambrano train station and then the hotel is a 2min walk away. Shopping Centre is part of the train station and there is a supermarket directly opposite the hotel. The room is what you would expect by Irish standards. Not too...

Stayed here on 29 Dec with 2 couples to see the Xmas decorations in Malaga centre. Upon arrival there were no other guests at reception but check in was extremely slow. Although the hotel is decorated nicely the whole experience was a bit disappointing by the location and thin walls. Rooms are very noisy. In the evening at the hotel...

We booked this hotel primarily for its proximity to the train station and, as we booked on an internet booking comparison site, felt it was good value. Fortunately we took a taxi to the hotel as the name has changed from Hotel Silken Puerta to Sercotel. We were a bit confused when we were dropped off here by the taxi...

Excellent break very we would definitely stay again. The hotel was ideally situated as it was within walking distance of the train and bus stations which suited our needs. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and provided a map of the area. Good sized bedroom with good size bathroom. Walk to town centre was about 15-20 minutes not far from...

We booked my parents a holiday at Silken Puerta Malaga because of the Spa facilities on offer. Unfortunately the Spa facilities were not available during their stay which is very disappointing considering we paid £175 per night for their stay. Highlights are that the hotel is in a really good location, staff were friendly and the room was really nice...

This hotel is comfortable enough, but it's not very well run. We wanted to use the spa/sauna, but you only find out when you get in there that you need to inform the hotel ½ an hour in advance that you want to use it. This despite having spoken to reception a few minutes earlier about using the spa they...

Ok... I'm a very low maintenance girl. But when I pay nearly $200 for a hotel room I'm expecting something good. First off, the whole reason I booked this hotel was for their spa/jacuzzi which was broken. There's literally nothing else that being up the value of this room. I can hear my neighbours watch tv and they are being...
