The hotel is situated close to central Marbella and the beach. We opted for a studio, although the kitchen had a hob, no equipment to actually use it. It did have a fridge which was useful. Room 304, our balcony overlooked the small pool area...... and a school playground. As you can imagine, lots of children noise during the day.... More

We have just returned from our wedding anniversary break at the El Faro Inn The location is brilliant as it is situated between the beach and the shops ...you are about 200 yds away from both areas Although the brochures and literature do not meet the actual reality of what you see when you get there ...you cannot fault them... All staff are really helpful, speaking English. Very clean hotel with excellent amenities, breakfast really varied and loads of it. Stay here regularly as it's such good value for money. Pool is a little cold, but still good.

Just returned from a one week stay. Hotel was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Have seen comments on rooms. We weren't happy with the room we were allocated but the staff were happy to move us to a better room.

Just on a side-note our room did not look anything like that picture above, however our stay at El Faro was fantastic!! The staff were absolutely incredible. They changed our room, fished a phone off a roof, replaced our key card that we broke with no fuss, supplied us with an adapter and gave us THE BIGGEST SMILES EVERY DAY!... More

After a bad hotel experience in Estepona we made a last-minute booking for Marbella, with there being only three hotels available in the centre we plumped for El Faro. It proved to be a wise choice. The hotel was easy to find and had parking outside whilst we checked in. The reception was very friendly and the gentleman even upgraded... More

Although the room is a little dated, we seemed to forget this soon after we arrived. Staff are the most friendly I have ever met in a hotel. Customer service is excellent. Rooms were cleaned every day also with clean towels everyday. Location is excellent 2 mins from the beach, bars, shops , children's parks. Lots of help from reception... More

Stayed here last week 24th - 29th September very disappointing. Wouldn't rate as 3 star. You can hear everything during the night such as loo usage, vomiting and domestic arguments from a german 'lady'. The pool is very small and is over shadowed by the building at 3.30pm and you will need to move to beach to soak up more... More

Firstly, the professional photgraphs of this hotel are slightly misleading - especially the bedrooms - they bear absolutley no resemblance to the room i stayed in which was stark and minimal (& not in a good way btw!) The room was on the 1st floor, 106 it absolutely stunk of dampness. The smell which was coming from the toilet was... More

Do not book this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing holiday. It is constantly full of large groups of British stag, hen and golf parties who are mostly noisy and foul mouthed. The rooms are poorly insulated for noise which makes sleeping impossible.
