This hotel was a disappointment. Our room was quite nice on the surface but poorly maintained and unsfficiently cleaned. The safe did not work as there were no batteries... Very noisy on first floor facing the street. Paper thin walls to the next room. But worst of all was the lack of a proper door to the bathroom. Not acceptable... More

Prior to arrival we called the hotel to book us tickets for the alhambra because on the internet it was sold out. They arranged us everything with a tour guide and including transport. The staff was really nice and helpful throughout the entire stay. There's always fresh water at the entrance and some sweets and apples, which is really nice... More

Initially, this hotel feels a little out of it but in fact it is well located for easy access to the Cathedral, which is visible from some rooms, including ours, and the other attractions in Granada. The cathedral is just a short walk away as are the lovely enchanting little alleyways full of tourist shops. Check in was swift and... More

Perfectly located, very friendly staff but the hotel is pretty downridden. We booked a superior room. The furniture is old and pretty much fell apart, bulbs burned out, breakfast rather meager. A three star hotel in disguise of five stars. We moved to the junior suite, which was better but of course more expensive.

It was the first time in Granada. The hotel is very good located for visiting the city. it's a 5 minute walk of the cathedral and 15 min form the Alhambra. The room was clean and there was enough space. The persons on the reception where very helpfull. The breakfast in the mamamia restaurant was good, but certainly not 5... More

We stayed at the Fontecruz at the end of March/start of April. It was our first trip to Granada and we chose the hotel as it seemed as though it was in a pretty good location. It absolutely was- perfectly situated to get to all of the major sites/restaurants/shops, couldn't have been better. Our room was very spacious and clean-... More

I've written a fair amount of reviews on this site and I don't typically slam places but this hotel is nowhere close to how they represent themselves. If it were rated a 3* then maybe but it is by no means a 5*. The best thing going for the Fontecruz is location. It is absolutely in the center of what... More

Pros: Location - right in the centre of the city - Cathedral is on on a street just across the road from the hotel. Price - at €115 which was less than £100 a night for a 5* hotel it was very good value. You would struggle to get a 3* hotel for this price in some cities. Cons: Quality... More

Very disappointing - this hotel is only four star at best. The hotel is located on one of the busiest traffic routes in the centre of the city. Our room was facing the street, so extremely noisy and a disaster for getting a good night's sleep. The room itself was cramped and the bathroom did not even have a door.... More

The hotel was ideally located for site seeing. The room was clean and had all amenities required for a comfortable stay. Breakfast certainly has room for improvement. Andy at the reception was wonderfully kind and thoughtful making our stay in Granada very pleasant.
