Stayed here on our last night of our andalucian tour with Trapsatour in Granada. The best hotel in our 8 nights tour. Good location near the Plaza mayor and the cathedral. Breakfast more than adequate but our chicken dinner is the only letdown in the tour, though not the fault of the hotel. Free wifi in the lobby. Will go...

The Melia Granada is a class act - one that other hotels will find it difficult to follow. The lobby is grand, the rooms are well appointed, large and impeccably styled. The bathrooms and fittings match. The location is good for seeing Granada though one has to take a bus for the Alhambra. I only wish the staff at the...

The Melia Granada is centrally located and within walking distance of virtually all attractions in Granada even the Alhambra and the Arab quarter if you are fit. The best part of the location, however is the street (Navas Street) just behind the hotel which is full of tapas restaurants and bars. Sitting outside on Friday evening was a wonderful experience...

The Melia Granada is in a quiet street only 2 minutes walk from everything you need. Like the other reviewers, I found the receptionists lacking warmth - it was more admin than greeting - all male and middle aged. However we were very pleased with everything else in our "better" room. Huge terrace, double bathroom, very clean. Calle Navas is...

This was the third hotel in our Great Rail Journeys tour of Andalusia and we spent three nights here. On arrival just after 3.30pm some rooms were still not ready for the group of 29, and we were all annoyed to be asked to show our passports to reception. This had not happened in Ronda or Seville. I concur with...

An exemplary hotel should have exemplary service, and where else is this more evident than at reception? The reception at the Melia Granada is replete with staff but for some reason they're all deaf and/or blind. And grumpy. What's with that? Someone should point out it wouldn't kill them to smile at the guests. Occasionally even. Other than that it's...

Finding this hotel in Granada (by car) having booked it was a serious challenge. Although not mentioned on their web-site the hotel can only be accesses through no-entry bus / taxi lanes. Each possible entry point warns of the penalty for drivers accessing these roads. Having eventually found the hotel by car the parking nightmare begun. The hotel has no...

I love this hotel. I lived in Granada for a few months and recommended that all of my visitors stay here. One of my guests was even upgraded to a room with a patio overlooking the Sierra Nevada. The staff at the front desk are extremely helpful. I speak Spanish so communication for me was not a problem. My guests...

Our family of four stayed here for 2 nights at Easter this year. Since the processions would be taking place right outside of the hotel, we received an email detailing the street closures and the exact location of the parking garage about 2 weeks before our arrival. This proved to be invaluable because our regular Granada map was not that...

This was a very nice hotel for a good price. The hotel staff seemed very informed of activities in the area. The rooms were big and clean. It was in a good location!
