We did not stay at the hotel but had lunch here during a visit to the Alhambra. This is not fine dining, but that is not a criticism. Rather, this is very good regional cuisine served in an attractive courtyard setting. The staff were very...More
Location : Perfect ; if you are an Indian, imagine living on the grounds of the Taj Mahal or the Red Fort. Our story : because of a mix up we arrived from Madrid at 10 pm ; if the hotel was not located a...More

There are lots of taxis though and they are fairly cheap, if you are just going down into the city. We walked down and got a taxi back both evenings, as it's definitely easier to do that than to drive, as it is tricky to navigate around Granada.

Cars are parked in the main Alhambra carpark at the bottom of the hill, you will receive a discount when you leave by showing your receipt from the hotel. You can drive up to the hotel when you arrive to drop off your bags. (look out for pedestrians!) Just explain to the security people that you are staying at Hotel America and they will point you in the right direction - you will need a smidgen of spanish for this.
