I'm so happy I found Cuevas El Abanico. It was a special treat to stay here. The room is very pretty and homey and you have everything you need in the small kitchen. The bed was comfortable with good linens and since you are in a cave, you sleep very well. The owner was very kind although we only saw...

My husband and I stayed in a small studio cave for two nights in October and it was one of the highlights of our traveling life so far. I expected a much more taxing walk from the center of town based upon other reviews but we did not find it difficult or excessively long at all. The views of the...

Experience Cuevas El Albanico. The grotto is on a unique spot straight across the Alhambra. A very friendly host welcomed us. The first thing you see is a beautiful private terrace. In the cave you will be surprised by the athmosphere. We had the 3 room appartment. It was great. Small kitchen and two bedrooms. It was pleasure, fun and...

My husband and I stayed at Cuevas el Abanico during the hottest week in July. We absolutely loved this fantastic little cave. The caves have a constant temperture, which is much cooler than outside, especially when it is 40 degrees (around 90's) outside. The property owners are super sweet and gave us a map of Granada, along with highlighted routes...

Hidden, because yes, it is hard to find but once you do it is definitely a gem! stayed in a studio with a kitchenette. it definitely has a bed and breakfast feel. We purchased food to make our own breakfasts and appreciated lots of essentials that were provided...olive oil, salt, sugar, creamer and coffee. The host couldn't have been nicer!...

My family & I stayed in a spacious & clean cave during Semana Santa. The service at Cuevas el Abanico is warm & the neighborhood, Sacromonte, fascinating. My kids enjoyed exploring the hotel's grounds & area around it. Our only disappointment was the weather: it rained nearly everyday &, as a consequence, our cave was cold & damp. We had...

My husband and I stayed at Cuevero El Abanico for 2 nights and loved our accommodation. Consuelo was helpful in marking on the map directions and walking times plus bus numbers (which we did not need to use). The accommodation allows for self catering if you feel the need. A washing machine is available on the rooftop plus iron/ ironing...

These cosy cave apartments are located up a hill in the gypsy quarters of Granada, and are absolutely fantastic. Spacious, nicely furnished, with all amenities you could need, including heaters and a small kitchenette. Great value for money. We intended to stay 2 nights, but ended up extending our stay. At night, we could hear Flamenco music echo among the...

Great little caves up in the hills of Sacromonte. Lovely host, very helpful, broken english, but we managed to communicate. The cave may seem tricky to find the first time, but once you get there it's pretty easy to find your way around. There is free parking just down on the road. The cave was a little chilly at times,...

Unforgettable stay for our family of 4 in our own private cave. Spacious, great view and lovely patio. Didn't want to leave. Hilly climb on cobblestone streets was worth it - a hidden gem. Sacromonte is a very traditional charming neighborhood .
