We were on the third floor, room 8. WiFi connection was great in our room. There are two nice plazas a short walk from the hotel. You could walk to downtown, but it's a bit far and you'd be better off taking a minibus or cab. The city circuit tour bus stops at a plaza just a hundred yards or so from the hotel.
