Wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in early August. Room was a decent size, but bathroom had an werid layout. Overall it was clean and the location was great. Free water was a nice bonus. We would stay here again.

If you have a certain amount of luggage, yes: taxi is the best way. We ourselves had only a piece, the size you can carry onto the plane, and used the bus. It's much cheaper and stops in front of the Torre del Oro. From there we walked to the hotel, and had a very nice first impression of the city. But don't do it with heavy baggage.
