Hotel Abril is very worthy of its 2 star rating. The whole place is immaculate and functional, no frills but exactly what we wanted, central position spotlessly clean very helpful staff recommending very good restaurants and giving directions to the sights. The rooms were spacious...More
Due to the volcanic ash disruption to flights recently, I was unable to take up my reservation at Hotel Abril. The hotel was extremely unsympathetic and refused to even consider a refund or to transfer my booking to a later date. With so much uncertainty...More
I arrived to the Hotel Abril around 10:30pm and got one of the last two available rooms. It was right next to the front door and front desk. I figured it'd be noisy but, wow, the fun started at 7am when the super market across...More

The rooms we occupied (a single and a double) were on the first floor, ranged around a central lobby and looking down to an internal courtyard at ground floor level. Neither room had a patio or balcony fronting onto the outside street. As mentioned in my post, we considered this a huge advantage!
I've just checked the hotel website for you and I notice that the virtual tour shows a family room with a balcony, though it's not clear if this is external or overlooks the courtyard. If this is really important to you, it might be best to contact the hotel to clarify the situation. The Abril is a small hotel (20 rooms, I think) and is booked up very quickly, so the earlier you can secure the room you want, the better.
Sorry I can't be of more help to you. I hope that you will have a wonderful trip to Seville.
