Travellers' Choice
The Eurostars Hotel de La Reconquista is, quite possibly, one of Spain's most characterful hotels. Tradition, luxury, nobility and 300 years of history have transformed it into an international symbol of Asturias.

You have never been to Oviedo before? So plan for it and book your stay in that impressive 5* hotel full of history right in the city. Very good service and well trained personnel. Breakfast buffet could offer more choices, but in times of Covid-19 let's not be too critical:)

This is the best hotel in Oviedo. Everything about it is fantastic. The imperial entrance, the beautifully set up salons, the cushy carpets. No wonder it is used for the award of the Principe de Asturias ceremony (by chance they happened on my watch whilst there). The rooms are elegant, comfortable, and appointed with the best. It is not high tech deco. It is old solid colonial style. TV has plenty of options. Wifi is of great quality and the bedding is great. One night the phone rang by mistake in the middle of the night and after I told them, they sent me as a compliment a fruit plate with chocolates the next day. They do look after their guests with high standards. The location is impeccable. Oviedo is not a big city and you can walk everywhere,. Bedding in the room is very comfortable and so is the toilette. Highly recommended without hesitation. There is parking for a modest fee in the hotel proper.

This hotel was a delightful place to stay— formerly a hospice it has been transformed into a very comfortable hotel with excellent spacious public rooms. Upgraded on my arrival to a room with a huge balcony I felt very comfortable and relaxed.Staff were very pleasant , and room service ( dinner ) faultless. The hotel is an easy walk from the railway station ( I travelled to Oviedo on the picturesque narrow gauge railway from Ferrol ), and from the attractions of the historical city centre.Oviedo is an easy manageable mix of modern city and interesting historical cultural buildings.

When Spain’s current queen goes to Asturias, where she was born, this is where she stays. I loved it because it was in the middle of this small city, when you compare it to Madrid. I loved how elegant the hotel is.

Alas, we found it to be understaffed and poorly managed. Just one poor soul manning the Reception Desk and one stalwart lieutenant who seemed to do everything else from parking cars to fixing your TV. Our room was a disappointment but maybe that was a booking issue, a small room with twin beds. A large terrace but, since it was cold and rainy, it was no comfort. In our travels, this stop was our one disappointment.
