What an excellent hotel. This value for money hotel located in one of the best spots in San Seb served us well. It was so close to the old town - our room overlooked an alley way loaded with bars, restaurants, bakeries and all sorts of shops - and had all of the facilities of a big hotel without the...

I spent a lot of time deciding where to stay in San Sebastian and finally settled on Pension Alameda for several reasons: the price and the good reviews given it on Trip Adviser. I'm here to add another very good review. The location is excellent, the couple who own it are dlightful and extremely helpful, it is, as another reviewer...

Just returned from 3 weeks in Spain and during this time we went by train to San Sebastian. Found this lovely pension and really enjoyed our stay. Extra clean, comfortable, and friendly. We had a double room without a view but who needs a view in San S.??? There are 2 rooms on the front of the building with nice...

We stayed at Pension Alameda for 2 nights in October. We took the train from Madrid (easy 4 hr ride through amazing desert and then the hills), and easily walked 15 mins to the pension. Just hit the doorbell and they'll buzz you up. There is a lift but its easiest to put 1 person in with the luggage as...

Rooms and bathrooms are both very clean. The hosts are very nice people and helpful. Our room was facing the small street at the back and during this popular time of year was quite noisy with the window open at night time. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not separate for each rooms which was the biggest negative, however outside of...

Small but friendly, clean and comfortable. A decent price in an expensive city. Very well situated on the edge of the old town close to the beaches and harbour.

I stayed two nights on the weekend and loved the location right near all the good food and wine places. The room was small , very clean , and very comfortable. On friday, saturday nights, my room overlooking and alley hosting some bars was a tad on the noisy side but, im a light sleeper and managed ok. This is...

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights. Advantages: The location is great and the owner has reasonable English. Disadvantages: Not a standard hotel. the owners run it and live in it, which gave the impression of staying at their home rather than hotel. We found ourselves feeling like we had to tip-toe into our room if out after...

Great location for seeing San Sebastian. On the second floor..very clean room with a little balcony. . It was situated just outside the old town and within walking distance of everything. The car park opposite was very handy but very expensive. Teresa our host was fantastic...she gave us pointers on where to go etc and maps and bought us a...

Very professionally run by a Basque couple. The pension is on the second floor of an apartment building with the innkeepers living on site. When a minor medical emergency occurred, they went out of their way to help. Their restaurant recommendations were winners. Central location a plus - Old Town and beaches a short walk away. Easy access to buses...
