I was impressed with the value of this hotel, very reasonably priced for a 4 star establishment with a gorgeous roof top pool. Room - room had a very comfy king size bed. Agree with other reviews that it is minimalastic with decor but it was comfortable and modern. Really helpful to have an empty fridge to stock uo too. House keeping service daily which is great to come back to a refreshed room. Ameneties: Restaurant - we ate in the restaurant for lunch which was tasty, and also had a luxurious dessert one evening which was delicious. Hotel prices for food which was to be expected. Roof top pool - impressive views, modern pool. Shallow but fine to do a few relaxing lengths in. Enough sun beds, only once did we struggle to get 2 sun beds but there were plenty of deck chairs if you don't manage to get a bed. One of the highlights of our holiday was a very relaxing evening listening to the brilliant live music whilst dipping into the pool. Only thing was one of the beds I was on had not been cleaned up and wasn't for the time I was there e.g. Dirty glasses and left over fruit on the table and floor. Spa - really beautiful dimly lit spa which made me relaxed immediately. Different elements of the pool with jets and jacuzzi's, sauna, steam room and different types of showers. I had a massage with Olga which was amazing! Also loved the robe and slippers being in the locker ready for you to use, lovely products in changing room. 10/10 for the spa. Usual hotel/spa prices for the massage(fairly expensive) but did include 90 mins in the spa and absolutely amazing service - thank you again Olga who got me in last minute. Location - close to airport, 10 mins in car and a only a few mins to a really lovely beach. Area around the hotel and to the back is not scenic but it was quiet. Bus stop right outside and only 5/6 euro to centre in a taxi. We would have preferred to be in the centre as it was 45 min walk to marina and about 25 to old town atleast although it is a nice walk along the beach front. But for the price we paid I don't think we would have got a hotel central. I agree with other reviews that it has a 'business' feel to the hotel but for as a couple we enjoyed it. Friendly staff.

Hotel's Favourite
The location is ideal in that it’s 200 metres from a lovely, relatively quiet, sandy beach with a number of restaurants alongside it. If you want to head into the centre of Palma it’s a 5 minute taxi ride. We stayed in a corner room with a Sea/Marina view with access to what they call “The Level”. The Level is worth paying for as it’s a separate lounge & breakfast area reserved for those with access. As well as breakfast you can use this area throughout the day to grab a drink and snack or a few glasses of wine and canapés before heading out for the evening. It has its own concierge service who were very helpful when booking taxis and restaurants. The hotel has a lovely rooftop swimming pool with a bar and great views across the Marina and sea. My only slight criticism would be the Hotel Spa seemed a little neglected with a few things not being operational as they should be but as our visit was provided complimentary as part of the Level perks it wasn’t a big issue. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and the room service was as it should be. We had to wear masks whilst walking around the hotel due to Covid and there were sanitiser stations where needed.

We rounded off our holiday to Mallorca with a night stay at the Melia Palma Bay Hotel. The hotel was fantastic especially the staff. We booked a Level Room and Jose and Ines were tremendous and could not do enough for us. I read in an earlier review that the Level wasn't really worth it, dont believe that, it certainly is. Can't wait to return.

So confused by the low ratings on here. I came on a whim and after seeing some reviews I was worried. However I had a fantastic stay! I would say if you’re a family, stay elsewhere, but as a solo or couple this hotel is fabulous. It is 10 mins from the airport and across the street from a lovely beach (5 mins walk or less). It’s also about a 20-25min walk from the city centre so you can stretch your legs (or get a taxi!). From my room I had a view of the sea, and from the rooftop pool there’s a view of the sea along with a lovely breeze so it’s not too hot. And a rooftop bar where you can also get food and the cocktails and drinks are fab! There are buildings on the other side of the street blocking some of the sea view but this didn’t bother me much. The only downside of the rooftop pool is that there’s minimal tanning beds and mostly lounge chairs which I found a little uncomfortable, and I never got a bed so that was disappointing. I’d say the pool is on the smaller side too, but again, didn’t bother me much as it’s more catered to adults. There were a few kids there but it wasn’t ever rowdy and no inflatables or anything. The room was clean and modern! Probably also more catered to adults as there’s a glass wall between the shower and bedroom but a shade can be taken down for privacy of course. Breakfast was also a great selection of foods! Would recommend.

Pros: The views from the terrace and our sea view room and the pool. Good breakfast. Very efficient cleaning. Friendly and polite staff. Lovely beach across the road. Beach/pool towels available. Nice beds. An empty fridge in the room. Busses 23, 25 + 35 to town right outside (20-25 minutes' walking distance). Cons: Very poor food and expensive cocktails at the terrace on the 7th floor. Location on the most trafficked road on the island - would not recommend rooms at lower floors. Clinical atmosphere - but tasteful. No way to hang and dry your swimsuit and beach/pool towels in the room. Sparse interior decor and small windows in the rooms - with such lovely views, you wonder why the architects did not make the best of it. Be aware that Level rooms with a small terrace are located behind a low glass fence on the rooftop terrace with no privacy at all. I've tried to answer some of the questions I had myself before booking. I would not hesitate to book again. Thanks Melia Palma Bay for a very nice stay.
