Detailed Reviews
We've stayed in many of the hotels in the area of The Cappucino and this is definitely in the top 3.
The room was airy, comfortable and felt very stylish, but like staying in an old style spanish place. The bed was so comfortable. If you prefer a walk in shower then please do check as our Deluxe room (26) had a tub with shower over which was tricky getting in and out of.
We loved taking breakfast overlooking the square , and spent over an hour each morning watching the world go by.
The terrace on the roof is small , only 10 sunbeds, so if you are planning to spend time lounging in the sun there may be better hotels with larger roof terraces etc.
All the staff were friendly and we would definitely return

The hotel is well appointed, with a lovely atrium, a cute bar/restaurant, very much a pleasure to visit. We had a suite one or two floors up, it was a spacious room with a little balconette overlooking the restaurant and small square-like pedestrianised area. Very close to the promenade (Passeig Des Born) and cathedral. We did find the boutique sized elevators a little tight given it was the height of the pandemic. We did visit with an infant and we would perhaps not recommend the accomodation for a baby, although the suite was large there was no place to quite cordon off his crib so we could enjoy the room while he slept. It’s very much a city couples hotel, for those wishing to spend much of their time exploring Palma. Very picturesque little pool on the rooftop. Palma was a charming as the last time I’d visited.

We were in Palma for Easter. The hotel is in the middle of a busy square and within walking distance of all the main attractions.
Our room was glorious with a huge bathroom and three large windows with a balcony. The balcony was great to view the Easter processions on Good Friday.
The hotel also has a private cinema which we had all to ourselves. There was a huge selection of films to see and you can order popcorn and drinks.
We travel a lot and I have to say that this was one of the best city hotels we have stayed at. It helps because we were in a beautiful city in a gorgeous hotel but every member of staff was helpful and informative. We had someone called Sergio (I think) who was particularly helpful but so many others were also great but I didn’t make a note of their names. The hotel also offers an evening housekeeping service which I have only ever seen in the Far East. It was a lovely touch.
I’ve been recommending this hotel to all my friends and even though we have been on other European city breaks since this visit, we still reminisce about this hotel.

Firstly I’d like to state that I can’t comment on the hotel operation here as we only stopped off in the cafe/restaurant for a drink whilst visiting Palma.
This place has the look and atmosphere of a very high class establishment, but let’s itself down in so many areas.
Admittedly I was not dressed in my finest Sunday best attire, as it was a spur of the moment decision to visit Palma when the weather took a turn for the worse. However, without sounding arrogant or snobby, we could well afford to eat or drink here, not that it should matter how we were dressed or what we looked like.
Unfortunately, from the moment we entered the cafe, we were treated as second class citizens and we felt as though we were ‘not good enough’ to dine there.
The service was absolutely awful, from start to finish, and not what would be expected from a 5* establishment. Left to wait for ages before being given a menu, bill placed immediately in front of us when we did finally order some drinks, as though the staff were worried we would run off without paying our €20 bill, the list goes on.
I am not against paying what some would consider ‘high’ prices for things, especially when they are of justifiable quality. The water is presented in a beautiful bottle and the surroundings are stunning for example, and those things alone probably gained an extra star in this review. But in all honestly, the horrendous attitudes of the staff are the lasting tastes we will take away from the Hotel Cappuccino.
Disappointing.

This is a review of the Grand Cafe of the Hotel Cappuccino. Yes a nice looking outdoor cafe in the square but beware! 8 euros each for a glass of fresh orange juice. We ordered croissants and coffee as well . It took 50 minutes for the croissants to arrive. After complaining we were given another coffee. The manager was too busy fawning to the attention of a well to wealthy looking woman and her dog to notice the poor service in his restaurant. Other customers were clearly annoyed with the service. When the food arrived one was completely undercooked, we gave up by then and went back to the old rule of better service and food at a considerably cheaper price down the side streets.
When enquiring inside as to the where about sod the toilet a rude member of staff pointed in a non helpful direction.
The staff need to visit The Hotel Basilica in Palma for a lesson in hospitality. Hotel Basilica out trumps them in every aspect!

Lovely hotel is the heart of the old city in a square opposite the historic old courts and a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral. Very friendly staff. Rooms lovely and bed super comfortable. Great bathroom and shower. Spotless. Breakfast served either in the courtyard or out front onto a beautiful square and watch the world go by. Loved the rooftop pool and sun beds and free bottled water. Only seats 8 but we never had a problem getting a sunbed. Small spa in basement which you can easily book for exclusive use and enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna. Definitely worthy of its 5 stars and we loved the sushi served from lunchtime and evening in the restaurant - highly recommended.

Had dinner here as it is very handy in the old town in a nice piazza. The waitress was very friendly and attentive so we felt welcomed. It was clean and air conditioned which was great with 30 degrees at 20:00 in the evening! We had the chicken tikka wrap with French fries, it took about 25 minutes for it to be brought to us, but we really enjoyed it because it was very fresh and delicious. The only problem is the prices are high for the food you get, the wrap and fries cost €22 and the following evening I got a chicken club sandwich for the same price which was just a sandwich cut into 4 pieces! So yes it’s clean (safe), the food tastes great but it’s pricey.

We had tea and snacks here recently. The location and decor are very nice. Both tea and snacks were good. The teapots, while they look nice, are unbelievably heavy and actually dangerous because they get very hot when filled, and are heavy to lift and pour from. This is hazardous to both the waiters and the customers. Please consider changing this to something lighter and better insulated, to avoid the heat coming in direct contact with skin. In fact, our waiter scalded himself when he touched the teapot. This is an important matter of safety so please don´t ignore it. People could suffer significant burns.

Charged for literally undrinkable wine.... tasted less acidic vinegar on chips ... poor. Guess it wasn't staffs fault but also hearing someone asking to speak to the manager rather angrily as well doesn't bode well ..
