Wow, this is the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, the staff were just amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful. After our welcome drinks, Joana showed us around our stunning room, explaining how all the wonderful details worked. The decor is just out of this world, the furniture is like artwork; from our bed where you can electronically choose the firmness of the mattress, to the minibar which is also a radio. It’s really the perfect mix of old-world style with modern luxury. We enjoyed the views from the rooftop pool where you can order food and drinks by whatsaap. I loved that their breakfast menu lasts all day - local yogurt fruit and honey is the perfect poolside snack that I never knew I needed! The location is perfect, we walked to the harbour for a drink at sunset and found a quirky bar for dinner in the cute winding local streets. Our breakfast in the peaceful garden was included and we chose the pancakes with carob Nutella, which were delicious and not too sweet, with great coffee and an artisan buffet of beautifully prepared local treats. The Can Bordoy ethos is that they are a family and this can really be felt in the relaxed but attentive service. We can’t wait to come back.

We were looking for a place to stay in Palma centre, so we can be just a short walk to many Palma's gems and found Can Bordoy Grand House by looking on the maps. We've instantly been attracted by the location, style and features like the roof top pool and extra large private garden. Soon after we've realised we've read about the hotel in one of the 2019 Monocle magazines and since we still keep the stack, we went through the article once again to find out more about the history of the place and ethos. This was enough to make a decision to book our stay.
Since the moment of landing at Palma's airport, everything was flawless and we've felt being looked after. Room was on the upper floor and the size of studio apartment overlooking the garden treetops. Hotel facilities are really great, loved the food and drinks, staff members are really friendly and helpful, with plenty of recommendations for the places to visit and restaurants to dine. There's a tablet in the room that you can use to browse the services and raise the requests.
As mentioned, room was great, with stand alone bath, double shower, walk in wardrobe, extra large beds, etc. Music player had 2 playlists, both to our taste. Room was cleaned / tidied twice a day. No iron as you checking, however it's been brought for free up on request. One negative thing was that there were no towel rail we could use dry our swimwear on.. Not the end of the world, but something that could be improved. The pillows up on checking were a bit hard for our liking, however been replaced with softer ones up on request.
We would definitely stay at the hotel once again and would recommend to anyone from families to couples, from young ones to seniors.

From arrival at the hotel in its excellent location and warm welcome, we had a superb week at the Can Bordoy. Ahead of our stay the concierge team had recommended restaurants and activities, which they had booked for us. The team were extremely helpful throughout this process and during our stay. The room was spacious, with unique quirky decoration and lovely touches. Without asking cleaned and checked at least twice a day, so always spotless The garden area for breakfast and dinner was tranquil, with great service at all times Throughout our stay the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful We would thoroughly recommend this hotel

This hotel is charging premium rates for a sub standard service. The cost cutting is evident and yet they insist on taking their customers for fools by charging exorbitant fees. The ‘supermarket’ bread served at breakfast had been toasted hours before and had leather like properties. The orange juice was bitter and more akin to carton juice than the freshly squeezed juice that we expected. The hotel is carrying out renovations in the middle of the summer season. The sad thing is that we are really easy guests to please and this was our second visit to what we had hoped would be come our but-monthly getaway, but we have left this time feeling cheated and we will definitely be looking for a new home away from home which Can Bordoy is quite assuredly not!

Dear AndTravel It is with great surprise and sadness we read your review as you yourself have a hotel of your own we find your comments a bit odd. You contacted us and asked for a special rate in between colleagues which we gave you. Upon arrival, we offered you an upgrade to one of our Deluxe suites at a very reduced rate. We did this out of kindness and to show gratitude to you as a returning guest. We gave you a wonderful suite no 210. A few hours after check-in you asked to change the suite as you complained about the noise from the next door apartment where construction work was going on. We changed your suite immediately to suite 30 as far away from suite 210 as possible. No questions asked. I would like to inform you that we are not charging premium rates in this strange time of COVID-19 pandemic. We charged you a heavily discounted rate compared to our normal rates. The first time you visited you paid a residence only rate during the time when only residents of the Baleares could come and stay with us. This rate was an exceptional low rate during a very special time in May/June 2020. In spite of these reduced rates, we continue to offer the same service as always. Of course, we cannot have full staff with an occupancy rate that is less than 50 % during these times I am sure you can understand this. Regarding the bread, at breakfast, we offer different types of fresh bread for our guests: spelt, sliced spelt, organic oatmeal, buckwheat, walnut and traditional Mallorcan brown bread. These are always freshly toasted for each guest, and we never reuse bread or use bread from the previous day. As you may recall we changed the bread to our lunch bread when you asked for it. We are sorry that you didn't like the selection on offer. I would also like to assure you that our orange juice is, of course, freshly squeezed. Our neighbours were indeed carrying out renovations on their building during your stay, but thanks to the good relationship we have with them, they agreed to undertake building works at a time that would ensure that our guests were disturbed as little as possible. It is a shame that you couldn't relax and enjoy the tranquillity of our Grand House in the centre of Palma. I am sorry that you only noticed these inconveniences and didn't enjoy the good things that Can Bordoy offers to its guests. Above all, I am sorry that you were not happy during your stay with us and I feel personally very sad to read your comments as last time we met we had a great conversation in our garden so I really do not understand why you have written this comment. I have tried to email you and I have tried to call you but you have not replied neither to my email nor to my phone calls, therefore, I feel obliged to write this reply to you. I recently took my wife & infant daughter to visit the Baleares, and in Mallorca I decided to book a suite at the Can Bordoy because I liked that it was geared towards sustainability (lodging and food wise), and had some pretty impressive (and unique) decor (my wife is a big fan of small and unique boutique hotels).
We stayed five nights, and I do have to say how incredibly pleasant it was to stay at this hotel. We stayed in their Grand Suite, which was like a work of art (my personal favourite was their incredibly unique mini bar). My wife was impressed by the decor (this takes some doing as she has travelled extensively and been to many high end boutique hotels around rhe world) Between their restaurant Botanic (excellent), concierge service (also excellent), and their pool area (very rare to find a hotel in the old town that has a pool & garden of this size), we could not help but feel immensely relaxed. The team at the hotel were also very helpful when it came to the needs of our infant daughter as well, which was very much appreciated by us.
All in all, our 5 day stay was incredibly pleasant and we would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting Mallorca, and want to enjoy a small & stylish boutique hotel who also values sustainability.

Before we arrived, friends who live in Mallorca said this was their favourite hotel in Palma. What the locals don’t know though is when you stay there you are truly part of the “family” - the staff could not be more friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful, the building/ grounds are enchanting, both pools (roof and courtyard) are relaxing - just writing this I wish I was back there! We didn’t eat in the restaurant (although I have heard rave reviews) but the hotel’s location is perfect for so many of the amazing restaurants in Palma. Could not recommend more highly - can’t wait for our next stay!

In October last year I wanted to book brunch for two for Saturday the 31st. The only way of doing this online was to buy a voucher which I did. Then I contacted Can Bordoy by email only to find out brunch was no longer available on Saturdays and was Sunday only now. I was busy that Sunday, but didn’t mind as I planned on using my voucher another time.
I contacted them again this month, June 2021, only to be told my voucher expired in April. I was astounded. I pointed out that it would have been impossible to use my voucher during this time due to COVID restrictions, and also because of the fact Spain’s borders were closed to the UK (where I live) so I was unable to travel to Palma. Eventually, and very reluctantly, they offered me a 50% discount for lunch for two excluding drinks. I declined because at this point their dealings with me were so terrible there was no way I could enjoy lunch, brunch, or any thing else there for that matter.
Such an appalling way to handle matters. Business’s all over the world have been incredibly flexible with vouchers during the pandemic. Not this one sadly.

The hostess with the mostess arranged a wonderful Birthday afternoon here in this beautiful place! After arriving we had drinks at the smart bar and outside with space of course. Six guest per table and simply delicious food- and wines. The Swedish Princess Birthday Cake was aporeciated and we all sang Happy Birthday! Great staff and happy guests! This is THE BEST hotel I have ever stayed in, period! This was our 4th visit and it has never failed to impress. The whole experience is understated but with laser sharp attention to detail and luxury. It truly is hard to find fault with any aspect of the hotel and staff. It is pricy but you come away feeling that you have been treated, cared for and fully welcomed, which is a rare experience these days even in 5*+. And........ it is the only hotel I know that will offer you a full breakfast experience at any time of the day, so if you are one of those who likes to sleep in late, then a 2pm breakfast can be the perfect start to the day!
