The reception staff were amazing and absolutely lovely throughout and the hotel is generally done to a nice standard. The one drawback that really effected my stay was just the noise the room had no soundproofing at all. It felt like I was on the road/in the bar most nights and I could clearly hear both rooms either side and the room above every little conversation, snoring and people getting very cosy together to say the least. The room itself was comfortable and done to a nice standard but I did find myself extremely tired by the end of my 5 days due to the noise keeping me awake or waking me up during the night. Still reasonable for the price I guess but personally wouldn’t stay again due to this.

The hotel is in a lot better position than at first you would think. We arrived very late and was advised if we came out of the hotel and turned immediately right and walked about 5 minutes there would be some bars/restaurants open. Walking down a near deserted street we wondered if we had heard wrongly but, it arrived at a selection of very good and busy pavement bars and restaurants. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and good value. The only reason we did not award 5 stars (for this type of hotel) was that there were now tea/coffee facilities in the room, this was available in reception in takeaway cups. Location wise, around 20 mins into Palma, but if you are planning a visit to Soller on the Palma train it is around 6 mins away.

Nice little hotel in great location. Short walk from estacio intermodal, and a street away from a popular street of many bars and restaurants. Highly recommend the bar next door for drinks, and breakfast, also a very new Japanese restaurant next door to that, with the best sushi I've had, and exceptional value.

I have the privallage to travel to many places in the world ..stayed at many hotels . Some deserve the stars and to be honest someone paid someone off on others !..the amic hotel group is a family run business . I stayed at Hotel Horizontal and then in the Hotel Colon ..things that stand out ..the staff care !!.. Colon may not have the views but it has beautiful people who even if you make your own bed which I do ..they remake it !!
Everything is polished . It has a small honesty bar ..with a selection of plastic wraped pastry ..sound terrible ..but actually always fresh and cool . I love my room ..spacious lots of cuboard space ..and the hotel is situated walking distance from everywhere important ..streets of bars and restaurants Old town and more .
But of all ..I love the staff and the genuine care!
If you don't understand how hard it is to run a hotel and be respectfully service orientated then don't go there ..but if you need a space that is charming polite and very easy ...it's perfect .
I was going to stay a week I extended my stay 3 weeks more !

The hotel is well located with good cafes nearby and near the bus depot but it sadly is only one and a half star! It's a 1970s version of Travelodge before they were upgraded. It was £90 a room per night and should have been £30. Toilet and sink, shower were awful. Staff on reception were excellent though. Definitely won't stay here again.

Had a very unpleasant experience with this hotel. Took an extra night and ignored my messages and emails. You can keep the $109.68 but you will never get my business or anybody else's that I know. Not ok. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. So many hotels. Nice hotels with better service and character. Just book in advance and you will get plenty of them and for a nice price. Shame on you amic colon and yes, this is the right hotel as i doublechecked the address before posting this. I will be returning with family this year, and it will not be at this hotel. Thanks for nothing.

Polite, helpful 24 hour reception. All areas clean, maid service excellent. Quiet. Good Chinese restaurant that serves coffee and croissants for breakfast and delicious Calamari, two blocks down. Highly recommend hotel and close distance to transport and old town.

We stayed here for 2 nights and would have struggled to stay more than that. The room is a decent size and so is the bathroom with comfortable beds which were clean. However the rest of the room did not seemed cleaned. We found hair and dirt on most of the floor and the bathroom was very damp. The bath had tiles missing and quite rusty, there was also hair in the shower head. However the staff were excellent and definitely bring the hotel up to 3 stars. Overall it’s decent for a couple nights and not a bad price with good location.

The hotel was ideally located. The train and bus station was a few minutes walk away. It was easy to walk from the hotel to most major sights including the cathedral. On a street running parallel there were lots of restaurants and tapas bars.

The hotel was good with a nice location, 15min by foot from the historic center.
The room and bathroom were small but enough to stay a few days of vacation.

The public bus line 1 runs from the airport to the port, stopping in Plaça d'Espanya. The plaça is 5 minute walk from the hotel.
It's costs 5€ one way.

Yes we had two single beds which were comfortable but to the larger person they may seem small we were in room 308 a twin room
The beds are good, I have slept in three rooms, and all the beds were fine, good pillows too.

Yes the wifi is free, get the passcode at reception, one password per item, so phone, laptop, etc all different, usually have too re-enter after 24 hours... hope that helps.

No, but they did give me a kettle when I asked and I supplied my own tea and sugar, there is a hot/cold water dispenser on the landings of all floors. There are fridges in the rooms. I stored breakfast bits in there! xXx
