Just returned from along weekend at Catalonia Majorca truly excellent hotel, staff very helpful and friendly we eat in restaurant twice and the food was very nice and of a very high quality could do with a bit more choice on the menu is my only criticism drink reasonable. We had a sea view room which lovely, bed was extremely comfortable and so were the pillows, the hotel was very nice inside does need updating outside which the hotel are doing at the moment so will be even better once this is done. We paid extra on arrival for breakfast and so glad we did there was so much choice the hotel canters everyone and they constantly replenish food everything was fresh. Would definitely stay here again

Halfway between the city and the nearest beaches was an ideal location to go swimming in the sea and shopping with the same no 4 bus from below the hotel. As I arrived with an early flight waiting patiently while other guests checked out rewarded me a top floor room with magnificient view over the harbor from my balcony. The pool was big enough to swim distance undisturbed and the water temperature adequate. I wish the food served on the restaurant terrace would have been better quality as dining in the warm darkness looking at lights below was pleasant. A private funicular eased the access to the street below with two bus lines. Mallorca suffers from a permanent lack of drinking water, tap water isn't advised to drink even in this hotel. It is rather costly and tiresome to buy water all the time.

Visited this hotel for two nights with my girlfriend, and we chose it because of the view from the room and the location. What bothered me was that they had only 2 floors oprational, second and fifth. Alltough I paid a lot extra for the sea view, they gave me two options: a double room at second floor, or a single room on the fifth floor. We sacrificed the room size for the view in the end, but when you pay 150 EUR per night you would expect the room to have the correct size and view. The room is modern though it lacks basic amenities such as slippers, and the balcony was very spacious, almost the size of the room itself. The view makes you forget about those small details, and the breakfast was perfect ! Really enjoyed the orange fresh machine and the pastry products.
There was no parking available but you could easily find free parking spaces nearby the hotel. There is literally a 5 minutes walk to the Las Palma main boulevard that takes you to La Palma port and toward the cathedral and old city center, maybe 20 minutes walk.
Would recommend this hotel !

If you are traveling with pets, I recommend DO NOT STAY in this hotel. We did the booking few weeks ahead of our stay, and informed the hotel staff we were coming with a dog. They immediately responded that the dog was welcome, that we need to pay 20 €/day, and that we need to confirm we were coming with the dog. We confirmed, and accepted charges. No more info received from the hotel. We arrived the hotel, and did check in. No remarks related to the dog. The other day when we arrived to the restaurant to have breakfast, a dependant told us the dog was not allowed in the restaurant and in any public area of the hotel (terraces, restaurants, piscine, etc, etc, etc). We addressed the problem at the counter, and at that moment they printed the policy related to the dogs. The solution they propose is that we should leave the dog in the room while we were going to use the public areas. The policy says that if you leave the dog in the room, he/she should stage in his/her cage (“se permitirá dejar a las mascotas solas en las habitaciones en sus correspondientes jaulas transportadoras”). The irony is that they sign the policy with a big seal “Mascotas Bienvenidas – Pet Friendly”, what we believe is not the case. We will not never come back to this hotel.

We had a 4 nights stay altogether 15 team members. Hotel Catalonia Majorca exceeded our expectations. The view from room's balcony was astonishing and beautiful well over the Palma's harbor.Rooms were well sized with comfortable beds, clean, looked like new. The bathroom was well equipped, towels great. The selection of TV programs was wide but we found only Spanish speaking ones, anyway, we did not watch it much.The staff was very friendly and helpful, everyone spoke English at a good level. Breakfast we paid additionally and it was worth it, a wide selection of food, fresh orange juice, live cooking (eggs, hot dogs and others).We did not check the outside pool, as it was winter. The outlook from the terrace around the pool was as great as from the room's balcony. The hotel is 35 minutes' walk to the center of Palma. You can take a public bus, right under the hotel, taxi or as we did rent a scooter.
Btw. I had to write this review twice as it got lost through the evaluation :-)

Everything is excellence except 2 points . They are only 2 plagues in the room . One behind the TV and the second in the corridor very far away from the bed . Not possible to work with a laptop and probably my first time that I faced this problem In a hotel . I stay more than 50 times in different hotels during the year . Imagine how embarrassed I was. This time I dared and mentioned it in reception. In the toilet there is no brush and to clean the basin, out of respect to the cleaning lady, I flushed the toilet maybe five times. I was in a very difficult position and I do not want to refer to the ecological side.

We choose to stay here to celebrate my mums 75th birthday. The hotel is situated high up and as a result the sea views are spectacular. we stayed in a triple rooms with sea views which was perfect. There is a free funicular which takes you from the hotel to the the road at the bottom ( saves walking up and down the hill) The staff were very attentive and helpful.
The rooms were well stocked. There is a fridge with a mini bar. Complimentary water was provided ( this may have been because were were rewards customers as booked directly with the hotel)
To avoid carrying items in hand luggage the following items were provided free of charge shower gel shampoo conditioner toothbrush and toothpaste comb shower cap tissues
Beach towels available for a refundable deposit of 5 Euros

Room very comfortable for 3 adults and beds comfy too, lots of room for 3. I read previous reviews about the staff and they certainly were not true ! The reception guy allowed us to check in around midday and was really pleasant and chatty. Bar staff really nice and always smiled and said hello. breakfast staff very welcoming and so friendly every morning, plates cleared straight away and an excellent selection for breakfast you will not go hungry. Pool lifeguard at the weekend was miserable and not helpful he sat all day hiding behind the counter doing absolutely nothing . The pool guy on Monday was sitting by the pool and made sure beds were cleared and tidy and the pool area looked good. If you need pool towels you have to Go to reception give your card and pay 5 euros per towel and this is refunded when you hand your receipt and towel back. This procedure could be done by pool lifeguard rather than go up to reception. Great hotel great staff and I would definitely return.

Arrived at this hotel and was received with a warm and welcome reception staff. We were lucky enough to have a room that looked over the magnificent Marina and a beautiful view of the cathedral. The room was clean comfortable with a lovely bathroom and bath very spacious balcony that looked over the Marina The pool and the terrace the beds were comfortable. The towels were amazingly soft and great size the bathroom shower gels were of good quality. Plenty of choice of coffee and teas and a well stocked minibar exceptional value. The breakfast in the morning was of high-quality and had everything that you required , with a hot and cold buffet plenty of fruits, fresh orange juice, good quality teas and coffees and I made to order omelettes of your choice The bar area was very welcoming and comfortable good quality drinks and well priced with lots of choice and very friendly staff would definitely recommend this hotel it’s placed in an amazing position with everything you need close by the staff from reception made themselves available and offered help wherever they could. We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It has everything you require with indoor and outdoor pool small gymnasium and lovely restaurants.

눀 – My wife & I stayed here for 8 nights to celebrate my birthday & our wedding anniversary. We found the staff were amazing, extremely professional & courteous. Nothing was a problem, they could not have done anymore to make our stay so enjoyable. This Hotel & its staff our a perfect example of how all hotels should be. We would like to give special thanks to Sñr Barea who runs the Hotel. The staff members who really excelled in their duties & professional attitude were as follows:- The cleaner Maria (she never stops) & is so happy all the time. Christina on reception is the most amazing receptionist we have ever met. Jamie on reception is also excellent. Aldana, Pauline, Mary Angeles & Daniela. The reason we went out of our way to get the names of these staff members is for a very good reason. When things go well on a stay people sometimes don't bother to leave a review. But these staff members were absolutely fantastic & they should be given recognition for the fact that they work so hard for the guests to ensure that the best service is given for the guests to enjoy their holiday. Yes- mini kettle and mini fridge in the rooms. We bought extra water and milk and took out the over priced pop. We just put it all back when we left and used the facility in the meantime.
There are more places to choose from in the Palma de Mallorca area.
