Detailed Reviews
We booked a room with garden and sea view so for 3 nights it came to about £470 ish.... we arrived to a pleasant lady on reception, she gave us a drink on arrival to get ourselves from the bar, was a nice gesture.
We got to our room which was clean and well presented, but it was very small. Regardless, the TV and Balcony were good and the bed was comfortable and not split like so many other twin/double rooms in Spain which is why we booked this hotel.
We had breakfasts on the 3 mornings, for a 4 star, despite the produce being pretty fresh, I have seen better spreads in like for like hotels... I’m unsure if it’s due to covid but it seemed a bit limited for something of this price range. If I knew this, we probably would not have bothered with the breakfast included option.
Around the pool was clean and tidy, was good although there didn’t seem to be enough sun beds, the hotel wasn’t to full capacity and there seemed like there was only just about sufficient.... but for us, at this time everything was ok. The poolside food and drinks took time to serve, but were freshly prepared and tasty with decent portion sizes too, very nice. Could be improved by offering table service to the sun beds, thought this was a bit lack lustre as would make a huge difference to the overall experience.
Apparently you need to pay extra for the spa, which I think is a bit naughty for a hotel in this price range and status of offerings. We didn’t use it and hadn’t planned to anyway, but I can see how this would be less than favourable to other paying customers perhaps.
The location is a great location, although it’s not directly on the front by the boats, the view of the harbour was apparent from our 9th floor room and it is literally a 5-7 minute walk down to the boat side area with restaurants and bars.
The staff, most were unfriendly (although not all), most were a bit pushy and serious. Although the chefs were friendly at breakfast. I even tipped the bar man to see if he would soften, and he did a bit, either way, we thought that 3 knocks on our door on the hour up to check out was uncalled for. At first the chamber maid walked in on me on the toilet, she was apologetic but then went on to knock a further 2 times, checkout is not until 12, so to be doing this from 10.45 all the way up until midday is just not cricket. Upon checkout, the lady was rude and unfriendly. If it wasn’t for this, I’d say go and stay here, but because of this, it does taint the overall experience, I’m quite sure there are places with friendlier staff all round. The staff let this place down unfortunately.
Despite all the above, the hotel was very clean and all spaces were well kept. Wherever you choose to stay, get a scooter and explore the island. Majorca is stunning - enjoy x

Good afternoon, First of all we would like to thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay in Palma and for taking the time to leave your review here. We are happy to hear that you liked our facilities and location. We are sorry to know that some other details weren't as you expected. As you mention, the breakfast can't be served and presented as we usually do because of the covid restrictions. We will also take note about the other aspects you explain in order to keep improving. Thanks a lot and see you soon!

+1
We had a room with a balcony on the fifth floor with a good view of the castle, otherwise we looked over residential buildings. On the other hand, our friends were on the ninth floor with excellent sea views.
Very clean and modern room with a comfortable bed, airconditioning, TV, fridge, shower gel, towels and hairdryer.
We stayed on a room only basis because we like to see what else is available locally. There are shops and restaurants within short walking distance. However the hotel location is not ideal for Palma centre.
We stayed for breakfast on our last day for only €14 per person. Great value with plenty of choice including cooked breakfast, fruits, juices (including freshly squeezed orange juice) pastries and eggs/pankakes cooked to order.
We also ate in the restaurant one evening for £18 per person (£15 per person if we ate there every evening) Yet, good value buffet style with steaks and fish cooked to order. Drinks were extra.
The pool side bar offer snaks in the day and a great place to spend your evenings. Great service and good cocktails.
There are two outside pools that we used to relax on our first and last day. Loungers and parasols provided. Not too busy there at all during our August stay. Pool towels are available from the spa for a €10 deposit and can be exchanged for fresh ones daily.
The use of the spa itself is at an extra charge, but we were allowed to use the spa showers on our last day. Excellent facilities.
Overall modern, clean hotel, good food, excellent facilties. Not the best location but ideal for a short break.

Far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful hotel in quiet residential area. Warm welcoming receptionists. Lovely room (standard twin) with brilliant shower/loo/dressing area. Fabulous breakfast everything you could want and all great quality. Ring the bell if you require a chef to come out and cook you fresh eggs on the hotplate. 25 min slow stroll to Palma cathedral. 10 min stroll to seafront with bars and restaurants. Hire bikes from hotel for 10 euro - we cycled a total of 33 km (return) all the way in cycle lanes from the hotel to the maria in S'Arenal. Beautiful scenery. Hire cars can be parked in surrounding roads to the hotel for free (no meters!), Walk to Bellever Castle was great (if you can manage the hill!) if not take your hire car and park near the top. Pueblo Espanol a ten min stroll and well worth the 6 euro admission fee - the attention to detail of the replica buildings is wonderful. We would not hesitate to recommend and will be returning especially since we now know how wonderful the weather can be at the end of December!

We stayed from 17/07/21 for a week bed and breakfast.
Hotel staff are very helpful and nice to speak with, nothing was ever a problem from arranging taxis to adding additional nights to stay.
The hotel is modern well maintained and well laid out, the room we had overlooked the pool and was very clean and well equipped, the terrace we had was a very good size having chairs, table and 2 sun loungers and there was still a lot of space to walk about.
Great view of the castle especially at night when it is lit up.
The pool area is well maintained and given the hotel was possibly under 50% occupied getting a lounger was no problem at all, we eat at the pool bar and can recommend the food and not over priced, friendly staff also who again were happy to help if needed. Breakfast was very good but we didn’t eat in the evening only because the choice close by in food street and the surrounding areas is exceptional.
We used the spa on 1 day and really recommend it, you go through various pools, steam rooms, a variety of showers of varying pressures and from red hot to freezing cold temperatures, we had the whole place to ourselves so we were a bit spoiled to say the least.
There were only 2 things that would have improved our stay/room, a nespresso or equivalent coffee maker would be good, the addition of a shower on the terrace which may be a bit more of a problem to provide and run pipe work but, it would be good, and may even take pressure off the pool area when hopefully back to normal, minor points more a wish list.
Thanks to all the staff at the hotel, we had a great holiday with their help, we would and possibly will be back next July, the hotel, location and surrounding areas are definitely worth a visit.

Our room was clean and spacious. We paid extra to have a better room.
However do be aware that if you want ice in your room the bar staff will try to charge you. They wanted 3euros for a bucket of ice. Further the bar girl rolled her eyes at me. Not what I expected from a 4* Hotel that was more than other similar Hotels cost wise.
Additionally the blurb implied that the spa was included and not an extra charge. It wasn’t bad value at €9 pp but that’s not the point. It’s not huge but was good for an hour or so. Also your visit is timed to 2 hours. Towel & flip flops provided but no robes. It’s not Ragdale Hall!
Breakfast buffet was a good selection but cold. Cold sausage beans etc. In fact this morning the boiled eggs were straight from the fridge. Omelettes were ok. As it was included we did have breakfast every morning but a cold cooked breakfast isn’t ideal. I did wonder how long it had been sitting there.
Reception staff were ok. Restaurant staff better. Room cleaned daily and ok. Although balcony ashtray not cleaned.
In all this hotel Is pretty decent if you just want a base / room.
But there are lots of other probably nicer and more inviting hotels and areas. I would stay elsewhere next time. Just because I felt taken advantage of regarding the ice and the spa.

Lovely hotel, very clean and staff friendly.
Stayed here for 2 nights as a relaxing weekend away, room was lovely with a great view from the balcony (6th floor).
Pool bar serves amazing cocktails and was great for a bite to eat at lunchtime. Pool area was nice a quiet with good loungers, pool was freezing though.
Spa was amazing, €9 for 2 hours, lots of different spa showers, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, hot beds and much more so highly recommend.
Beach towels are available with a €10 deposit, refunded once towels returned.
Great breakfast and dinner selection, plenty to choose from.
Only negatives, no available drinking water so you have to buy bottled water which is expensive and there is no evening music.

The day before we were due to return from our holiday in Mallorca we visited Palma and my father fell ill and had to be hospitalised. We needed somewhere to stay while he recovered enough for us to fly home. It needed to be near enough to the hospital (Juaneda) and all of the facilities we would need- supermarkets, laundry, banks and pharmacy’s. Isla Mallorca was perfect for this and the street that the hotel is on is a beautiful tree lined street which starts your relaxation even before you enter the hotel.
Maite and her team at Isla Mallorca were wonderful and made us feel at home. We chose a junior suite so that we could bring our father back to the hotel for the second week when he was discharged from hospital. They made this process very easy and stress free. They met all of our requests with a smile which helped to remove any stress from our situation.
The facilities are wonderful, the fantastic pools and the Pool bar food and staff were fantastic. They were always happy to give us food to go to take to the hospital or up to the room and it was tasty and beautifully presented. We would love to return to Isla Mallorca under different circumstances and enjoy the spa, but as a home away from home it was perfect. The location was also perfect and although they have paid parking if the roads are busy, we could always find a parking space next to the hotel. There was a lovely sandwich and cake shop within a few minutes walk, pharmacy, laundrette, bank and supermarkets. A great location for a holiday or a place to relax and recover like we needed before our flight home.
Thank you Maite and all of the staff at Isla Mallorca & Spa.

We really enjoyed our week's stay here in July. The hotel is modern, kept to a high standard, and offers a range of room options. We stayed in an upper floor room with a view of the port which was lovely (perhaps just a little on the small side).
The breakfast is excellent with a wide range of options and an on site chef to cook omelettes etc to order. Staff are efficient and friendly, particularly both at reception and at the pool bar. There are two pool areas and we liked that these are only open from 10am as this discourages early sun lounger 'bagging' which is good. There were a few people waiting by 10am and the areas do get busy but we never saw a problem finding space.
The hotel is located only a short walk from central Palma. It is also very near to the Miro studio and the Castel de Bellver. We hired a car and although paid parking is available at the hotel we found no problem parking on the streets outside. There is also a small square with parking next to the hotel. There is road good access from the hotel out of Palma and on to the main roads for visiting the rest of the island.
We have only a couple of small issues to note. On the eighth floor where we stayed the lift doors need attention as they make a bit of a banging noise when closing so perhaps ask for a room away from that end of the corridor. Also, for some reason our room was not serviced on our last full day's stay.
We would definitely return.

Highly recommend this hotel. Good location, 15 mins walk to centre of Santa Catalina and approx 30 mins into the centre of the old town. 5 mins in a taxi at 5 euros. Just a few minutes walk down to the harbour front. Not a beachfront hotel. 2 outdoor pools (unheated), adequate loungers and umbrellas. 9 euros to hire bikes all day, bike path along the harbour and beyond to nice beaches, cafes etc. Had an urban room with terrace, quite small and basic but very clean and comfortable with modern bathroom. Would recommend paying a bit extra for the terrace as you have loungers and chairs table etc. Staff friendly and helpful. The only negative is the lack of a coffee machine or tea/coffee making facilities in the room which would expect from a four star hotel and also strangely no mirror in the room, small niggles, otherwise fab and will return!

Back from a 3 night stay with my 13 year old daughter. We LOVED this hotel. It seems to hit the sweet spot between being close enough to the old town that everything is easily accessible but far enough out that it has great outside space and a chilled resort vibe. Contemporary rooms with a great view from the 6th floor (where we stayed), great shower with strong water pressure, 2 lovely pools each with sunbathing areas (always plenty of sunbeds), lovely food both in the restaurant and the pool bar (we had breakfast included and also had the buffet dinner one night). Best of all, perhaps, the staff were unfailingly smiley, polite and helpful. Definitely recommend hiring bikes and exploring the sea front area (beaches are easily accessible this way). Overall, we adored Palma as a city break location and are so pleased with picked Hotel Isla Mallorca for our stay.

Hello! The hotel is not being renovated, but it is closed for annual maintenance until next Monday, 31st January.
Best regards,
Isla Mallorca & Spa team.
Urban ones with terraces - cheaper also.
The outside pool area last week permitted you to sunbathe without a mask , you only require the mask now to walk from your room to the pool area then remove
Rules change daily in Spain so best on arrival to ask reception on the updates
Lovely hotel enjoy your stay
