This was a great choice of hotel for a last minute city break in Palma and I would definitely recommend it. The location is very central in a shopping area and a short walk to everywhere including the Cathedral. Taxi fare to airport was 18 euros. Our room was spacious, modern and clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay including toiletries and slippers. We booked on a B&B basis and the buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. They have 3 sittings for breakfast with different time slots which works well and ensures the area is never too busy. We had a couple of meals in the Skybar restaurant. One was late evening when we arrived and we managed to get a table without a booking. We also had one of the weekday lunch meals which includes a 3 course meal with a glass of wine for 16.50 pp, We thought this was excellent but you do need to book in advance. The skybar restaurant and the roof terrace have panoramic views across the city and it's worth taking a camera with you to capture them. The staff at this hotel were all very helpful and friendly and there is a secure luggage area and toilet facilities than you can use after vacating your room. Especially useful if you don't have a flight until the evening. Excellent all round!

This is a great hotel in a very central location. Room is a good size and great shower in the bathroom. Choice at breakfast is good - some hot dishes (eggs, beans, mushrooms and few meats), fruit, yogurts, cereals, bread, juice, pastries, muffins etc. No problem finding a seat at breakfast.
Great views from rooftop bar, around 2 euros 50 for a coffee so not overpriced either.
Good facility for storing baggage.
Only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that the non smoking room smelt very strongly of smoke. They did deodorise the room once I informed them (I didn't ask to move room). I appreciate it's not their fault what clients do in the rooms but it would have been better if they'd deodorised before I arrived/asked as cleaner must have noticed the strong smell.

Fab stay at the Almundania . We stayed in Feb 2022 , the Hotel sits in a great location in the city centre , a couple of minutes walk from all the sights and shops if you need them . Plenty of bars and restaurants near by. The rooms & bathrooms are lovely , we stayed on the 8th floor , great views of the city , and here is the roof top bar which is the perfect place to have a drink in the evening . The breakfast is 100% excellent , plenty of choice and very reasonable price. If there are any negatives , I would say as it was early in the season the bar closed pretty early and the staff seemed keen to leave.

Enjoyable 5 night stay at this central hotel, excellent location, close to all major sights, shops, cafes, transport links etc ….. We chose a superior room which had fantastic views across to the harbor cathedral and castle, huge balcony, an exceptionally spacious room which overall we were very happy with. A few personal niggles, the mattress was a little hard and pillows not the softest. No TV news channels in English. The bathroom was a good size, bright with large soft towels. The shower worked well; a shower riser rail would be useful as the fixed bracket was too high. We did hear some noise from the Skybar although this seemed to stop around midnight. The Skybar shares some excellent views, pleasant ambience, comfy seating, courteous staff. From a security aspect this bar allows non hotel residents access, which is great for business but also allows these customers access to the hotel itself. Some sort of pass card which grants access only to the bar / toilets would be good. Great breakfast, lots of choice, good start to the day. All staff, especially on reception were super friendly and helpful 😊 We had a thoroughly good time in Palma, great base to explore the island.

I honestly felt like I couldn't have picked a better place than the Almudaina Hotel. I loved the fact it was so well situated on Jaume 111, and having a Mangos shop on one side and a large cake/patisserie/bakery/restaurant on the other just helped make it even more fun! I absolutely loved the view from the Sky Bar where I went for a drink upon arrival, however the biggest surprise for me was the really amazing balcony that came with my room, and that had a full view of the Cathedral and the sea. I do know that not all rooms have these though. It even had a cute little cubby window in the bathroom which gave me views of stunning sunsets over the mountain range as well.. it was something else. The room was really spacious, bed was very comfortable and the towels soft and plentiful. I liked the light-up wardrobe and the safe worked really well. The hotel thought of most things and provided really good toiletries dispensers in the shower (lovely powerful shower) and also some other things such as make-up remover pads, which came in a cute white basket. The complementary minibar was great with 4 drinks (two water bottles, a coke and a beer in mine) and the fridge was good for storing other things if needed. I loved the check-in experience where they gave me a keycard to put my bags in a large secure room as well as this keycard giving me access to a more private toilet and bathroom area on that floor to be able to freshen up before accessing my room. The hotel is close to most things and I felt very safe as a solo traveller going out and back to it later on in the evening. I just can't wait to go back and have another stay!

This hotel is a travelodge with a view. That view is lovely but its still a travelodge!
We called reception for a bottle of water when we got in. We were told to call another number - the sky bar. They said we would have to come up and get it ourselves.
That is not acceptable. When you are paying over £170 per night for a 4 star hotel you expect some room service.
This hotel has a lovely roof terrace. But it just feels like a travel lodge. The fixtures and fittings in the room are cheap and you can hear everything around you due to poor sound proofing.
I'd recommend coming to the sky bar but please stay elsewhere.

The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the city, on bus routes, lots of shops nearby but the price you pay for a central Palma hotel are the sleepless nights! A room on the main street side has relentless noise of bin wagons, bottle collections, street cleaners, roaring motorcycles and that is just during the night hours. The rooms are stylishly designed - however, style may be one thing - practicalities are another. The concept of a drawer in furniture seems to be elusive! Nowhere in this lovely wood finished and grey room is there a drawer. Everything has to be piled on the bedside shelf or floor, or stored on shelves. The shower room, while clinically clean, frequently exuded the smell of drains which wafted into the bedroom if the door was not closed (difficult to do since it did not shut properly anyway). The loud noise of scraping furniture above on the marble floors is truly intrusive at times. There is no lounge area, just a very uncomfortable bench seat in reception, while the touted rooftop Skybar does not open until 12 noon, so a morning coffee is not an option. The view is spectacular however. On our departing day we went up dead on noon for a last look and possibly get a coffee, but were told that the tables were all booked for lunch - at 1pm! We did persuade the waiter to serve us a coffee, by promising to be out within 20 minutes. We felt that we had caused a bit of inconvenience to him by messing up his lunch plans. Breakfast is pretty good, plenty of choice with three sittings up to 10.30, but the annoying drinks dispenser takes forever to fill two cups. The beds are comfortable, with three pillows and linen is changed daily. But we would not go back.

When we are fortunate to be able to travel and the opportunity exists to come to Palma …. There is only one place to call home. At the Almudaina hotel you will always receive a warm welcome smile from all the staff at this hotel. From the superb central location to the new refurbished rooms you will have to opportunity to relax and explore this wonderful city and surrounding countryside. At the time of writing there are ongoing road works along Jaime lll so the road is only 1 way but that didn’t cause us any issues. There are wonderful views from the terrace and it’s bar/restaurant and you are given free welcome drink vouchers to enjoy it during your stay, another reason to book direct. All in all the perfect place to stay if it’s just for the weekend or a longer stay.

We didn’t stay at this hotel but if you are looking for an AMAZING place to have a drink at the end of the day, go to the rooftop bar here. The setting was amazing with a view of the Catherdral and the harbor and the ships and everything Palma. Drinks were reasonably priced (for a high end bar, not cheap but you are paying for the view). Clearly you have to either make a reservation from 8 pm onwards or show up early. So amazing.
