My husband and I were celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary and had booked this beautiful hotel for 4 nights.
We had been in touch with the hotel beforehand, to ask a few questions about the suite before we booked ( we had number 17) and also for any recommendations for special occasion restaurants. They were so helpful and sent us a detailed email with lists of all sorts of different restaurants.

Upon arrival (around 10:30am) our suite was ready so we were able to get in and unpack immediately. Our room was very unique and very spacious with a free standing spa bath in the main room plus a very well appointed en-suite.

What we hadn’t actually realised when we booked is that the hotel is not always staffed. After around 11pm the staff all leave and go home and don’t return until the morning. This was fine for us and presented no problems. I’m only mentioning it as we hadn’t realised.

The hotel is positioned right bang in the middle of Palma right next to the Cathedral so it couldn’t be any more convenient than that. The building has been very sympathetically restored and retains many historical features.

The staff were so helpful and spoke amazing English ( our Spanish is not very good) and we’re happy to help with directions, recommendations and even printed off our Soller train tickets for us as we had booked online and you have to print off the booking to take to redeem against the actual tickets.

We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, so can’t comment on that. We went to Cappucino each morning which is just at the bottom of the steps in front of the hotel.

Very peaceful hotel, excellent location, lovely staff.
Thank you for being so helpful.

We arrived at Can Cirera at noon and were greeted by Mari. My daughter and I travelled from Gatwick, left home at 3:00 AM. Mari greeted us with warmth and kindness. She offered to store our bags so we could explore, until our room was ready. She offered us a seat in the courtyard with cold water. She offered great tips on exploring Palma- bike & car rentals & delicious cafes (we visited all). Mari is the welcoming person one will always remember as the comfort of Palma. When we returned later in the afternoon she had our bags positioned in our room. The room was delightful, welcoming & so comfortable. We had water, biscuits, & tea for us. The room very spacious and the bathroom quite large. This beautiful accommodation was once a home now houses 20 (I think that’s the number) new, modern rooms. But the architecture is not lost. The best, when one takes a shower, the middle of the mirror does NOT fog at all. I meant to ask how they did that! Genius! The bathroom is spacious. Towels thick and soft. Even a toothbrush (because someone always forgets to take one!). The accommodation is clean & inviting. The bed soft and comfy with soft bedding and an extra knitted blanket, if needed. One feels safe, comfortable, warm, & welcomed. It’s conveniently located, next to Palma Cathedral, & within walking distance to everything Palma. Being from Nova Scotia, Canada, when I have the ability to return to Mellorca, I will always stay in this special place. Mari thank you for organizing our car rental. We had a spectacular day. Thank you Can Cirera for the best accommodations to a mom & daughter on holiday. Thank you Mari for your kindness and offering us your time and advice for our memorable vacation. You certainly are a gem for the hospitality and the travel industry.

This property is like stepping into complete silence, has that feeling of tranquility on entering. Lush, calming, relaxing, that is the sort of feeling you get here. Design of this place is excellent, everything has been though over.

Check-in process was welcoming, quick and professional. All staff through shifts were excellent, friendly smile and willing to assist. This property is simply location, location, location and the surrounding area is just history.

Hotel layout is different in its concept, believe it offers around 19 rooms and all have their own design concept. Nice little sitting area for breakfast and lunch in the courtyard.

Rooms, spacious and calming. Our specific room had amazing wooden beams and a design that is minimalist. Bed is amazing, lines used are just so comforting and the mattress latex, good options on pillow comfort as well. A bed that provides a good night sleep that is for sure.

Bathroom area, walk in shower, rain shower, sink and toilet, well designed with everything one would need. Some excellent selections on bath gels and shampoos.

Minibar, basic, nothing wow, safe in room, space for the basics on clothes, small table area with a TV and good lighting. Overall, i loved the room. However, the Air- Conditioning has a mind of its own, just did not seem to work, hence the lower score. The panel was clearly damaged and has not been changed.

Breakfast, we selected such with our room, very healthy in the option, so no complaints and the staff extremely friendly. Some good coffee served as well, so a big plus.

My only complaint about the outdoor area is they are making for a smoke free environment. Sorry, but outdoors is outdoors and peoples rights should not be taken away in an outdoor area. Whereas i understand indoor. outdoors i do not. Non-smokers need to get a reality check.

Would i come back, 100%.

I just checked out after 1 night in Hotel Can Cirera. What I did not realise is that the hotel literally just opened 3 days before so everything feels new!

Of course, staying shortly after a hotel's opening means a few teething problems (heating in the room did not work originally because of some work being conducted, but the team were great at fixing it before the night so no complaint here!) but once those are fixed, I think it will be an absolutely wonderful hotel to stay at in Palma.

First, the location is brilliant - literally next door to the Cathedral, in the heart of the Old Town and a very short walk from the sea front. The building is splendid, a perfectly preserved 15th century building, renovated with great taste. The patio is pretty, as is the library room, and the room decor is sober but elegant, including pretty shower rooms. The team is nice and competent.

The beds, sheets, and towels are all extremely comfortable. When I return (and I am sure that I will), I will probably choose a different room as mine (room 1) was a lower ground floor room, with no view and because the building is pretty, a lot of tourists have a tendency to come in to visit or sit in the patio and in that room you feel a bit exposed, but that is no something the team could have guessed and I think that despite the new opening, they seem reasonably busy thanks to attractive early opening rates.

I did not have breakfast at the hotel as I wanted to have it at the market in town, but it is described as including a lot of local goods (the owners also own an agroturismo on the island and I believe even include some of their own products!) though a bit pricey by Spanish standards (€18 per person I think, but this is a luxurious hotel so understandable).

I don't have many criticisms to formulate at all. Personally, I think it would be nice to have espresso/coffee machines in the room (there was a kettle but no tea or coffee), and also the wifi did not work well (though I am not sure if it was in that specific room or in general). Apart from that and my preference to try a different room next time, I have to say that my only regret was that I could only stay 1 night as I think that the hotel certainly deserves spending 2-4 nights there if you can and Palma has plenty to offer!

Well done to the owners and the team for putting together such a wonderful hotel which I am sure will be a great success in years to come!

From the moment you arrive you are not only in one of the most central and iconic parts of Palma (next to the Cathedral), but you also know that this place is going to be special. Walking into Hotel Can Cirera is like walking into an oasis in what is a beautifully restored historic building.

To start with, you get a wonderful, warm and personalised welcome. They really cannot do enough to make sure your stay is perfect including recommending (and booking) restaurants if that is what you want. That is all down to Marie.

The rooms are beautiful, some with amazing views (and worth it but even those without are lovely). They have everything you need and more. Breakfast is served in the courtyard (or dining room if it’s wet) and again everything you could ask for – fresh, good choice and in a wonderful setting.

We would like to say a big thank you to Marie who made what was a great stay even more special and it seems rare in this day and age to get such a warm welcome. We’ll definitely be back again as this hotel has everything you need and more.

This will be where I choose to stay every time I visit Palma! The price is a steal for what you get when you stay here!
The location can't be beaten. You are steps away from Palma Cathedral, the water, all the shopping you could ask for, and in walking distance of Santa Catalina for delicious dinners. I couldn't have wanted for anything more during my stay. (Be sure to check out the rooftop bars in Santa Catalina for skyline and water views at sunset!)
The staff was above and beyond, and Mary just blew us away with her attentiveness and dining recommendations! They arranged taxi transport for us, wrote all kinds of suggestions on our map, and facilitated our dinner reservations as well.
The rooms are quiet and have a stunning natural beauty with a truly unique and authentic Spanish vibe. Deluxe rooms have a rainfall shower head and excellent water pressure.
Breakfast is an a la carte menu with ample selections (I opted for the "Bowl La Seu" and the Blue Spirulina smoothie) and is available from 8-11 so you never feel rushed to eat before you miss it. There are also ample places right outside the door to grab a coffee and quick bite if preferred. (Starbucks is also a hop, skip and a jump around the corner in Placa Cort too.)
And a tip worth sharing - do not overlook the small winding alleys throughout Old Town! There are so many gems sprinkled throughout and it's completely safe at any time of night.

So pleased we picked the Can Cirera for our time in Palma. A delightful and unique hotel, recently established in an old Mallorcan family's property so close to the Cathedral. All the modern comforts in a characterful room fashioned under a beam ed roof. A wonderful king-sized bed ensured a great night's sleep in blissful quiet. Breakfast is served in a one of the courtyards (an indoor option is available if needed.) The wonderful Juilietta managed breakfast effortlessly, freshly preparing our selections from her comprehensive menu. (We found all the hotel's staff to be friendly, helpful and professional.) There is a small but perfectly formed sitting room for guests to use, pieces of art in the courtyards, a gem of a place. So close to elevated sea views from the Cathedral terrace, to the Royal Palace and the March Foundation art gallery, and easy walking all through the old city. We hope to be back soon !

We stayed at Hotel Ca’n Cirera for a night whilst visiting Palma. The hotel is in the perfect location for sightseeing with the cathedral practically next door! You’re also only a short walk from fantastic bars and restaurants and most of the main sights the city has to offer.

The hotel itself is set in a beautiful old manor house and has remained faithful to the history of the building. However the rooms were noise proofed and were comfortably fitted out with everything you could need. There is also a great little cafe in the inner courtyard which is its own oasis of calm and a lovely spot to have a coffee.

However the star of the whole experience was the hotel manager Mariana.

Loved this gorgeous hotel close to the Cathedral. Our room was comfortable and stylish (street side so could hear visitors to the cathedral and horse drawn carriages going by but this did not bother us). There is a nice internal courtyard where breakfast is served. The staff are kind and attentive, particularly Mari Carmen on reception and the lady serving breakfast. Location is perfect and the outlook extremely attractive. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Palma.

This hotel was everything I expected. Perfect location, very good service and beautiful palau house. I recommend this hotel and will come again. The room was beautiful, clean and stylish. The bathroom was clean and newly renovated. The room was warm even though we travelled in March and it was easy to sleep thanks to thick curtains.
