We stayed at Innside for 3 nights in May. This clean and modern hotel is ideally situated for sightseers as it is close to the centre of Palma. It is a 10 minute walk from the Intermodal train/bus station.
The hotel has a relaxed feel with friendly staff and quirky modern design features. The rooms are a good size and have plenty of storage space. The room had a small mini bar fridge that was stocked daily with water soft drinks and even a couple of beers which did not cost extra- this was a really nice touch.
The rooftop bar/restaurant terrace is small but welcoming and we enjoyed drinks there and were pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced they were. We opted to stay on a bed and breakfast basis and were impressed with the breakfast. A buffet with a good selection of foods including Padron peppers and Spanish omelette (which felt a bit more than you standardly get).
The weather was unseasonably cool during our stay so we didn’t use the rooftop sun terrace and outdoor pool but we did pay a modest fee to use the spa pool in the basement which was really nice and very restorative after a long day walking around the city.
I suppose my only small criticism would be that there are no rooms with balconies, it looks as if there were previously balconies that have been built in and incorporated into the rooms. But this really is a very minor issue.
We really enjoyed Palma and this hotel suited our needs, we will stay here again when we next visit Palma.

Really pleased I chose this hotel and would highly recommend for a solo traveller. It has a small, quaint, relaxed feel to it despite being a major chain. I’m not sure how full the hotel was but it never seemed stressfully busy.

I came to Palma for a concert which was cancelled so I was worried I wouldn’t have much to do. The hotel experience really helped me to have a good time. It’s a very central location and only around 5 - 8 minute walk to Plaza España which is where you can get an airport bus if you want to save on taxi fare. There is also a stop here for the City Sightseeing hop on/hop off bus. All the major shops begin here and you can’t really go wrong if you just follow the route and wander the side streets.

The rooms are very spacious with lots of storage space for clothing, comfortable beds, air conditioning and a stand-alone shower which I particularly liked. I’ve stayed in so many hotels where the water goes everywhere but the room designs here have the shower slightly separated and enclosed with doors. The minibar was a pleasant surprise and very welcome after a hot day. It contains water, beer and coke and is restocked every day and is included in the room price.

The staff are a huge asset to this hotel. Every person I encountered was exceptionally friendly and eager to help without being overbearing. I thought the hotel looked absolutely immaculate. I was very impressed with the breakfast which was exceptionally fresh each day and somehow was kept looking really tidy and topped up by the staff.

The gym is very small but has enough basic equipment for an adequate workout. It has a cable machine which is perfect for a full body workout. Some Covid measures are still in place so you have to book a slot for the gym but I did not find this an issue.

Lastly the rooftop bar has to be the icing on the cake. I ate there once and felt the prices were very reasonable for a 4 star and on par with most restaurants I went to in palma. It was 14 euros for a burger and 3 euros for a glass of Cava. What I didn’t realise was there is also a higher deck for lounging in the sun and a higher view over the city than I expected. A very small pool but unless you’re training for a triathlon it’s more than adequate for a dip in the sun. All in all, a great hotel if you want to alternate between relaxing and exploring the city.

Really well located if you are travelling to and visiting Palma. Very close to the central station (train and bus) means it is easy to reach from the airport and convenient for taking the trains and buses to other parts of the island.
The hotel is modern and very clean. Quite basic rooms but everything one needs plus a mini bar refreshed daily with coke, orange juice and water - for free. There is a small fitness area with gym, sauna, steam room and dipping pool. Again very nice and good quality towels are provided. A 7th floor bar area was not open in Feb although the staff said we were welcome to sit up there and they would bring food / drinks up.
That brings us to the very nice staff. From the warm welcome with intro to the city, the daily acknowledegment from reception staff to the friendly and efficient bar staff. All those we interacted with were nice and engaged with the customers. We will be returning, probably for another winter break,

Booked this hotel for the walkability to the city center. This was good, but there are nicer neighbourhoods close to the center. The hotel is located close to the station, which is handy, but tells you a bit about the surroundings.

For more than 200 euros per night, was very disappointed with the room we had (a room divided into two parts with a separate lounge/ sleeping area). It was an awkward shape, elongated with plenty of space used up for a corridor, and two tiny sleeping spaces. The finishings were of minimal quality and the floor vinyl.
The room i do my hospital shifts in is of better quality and that is saying something.

Good things: the bathtub and availability of a basic make up mirror. No storage space in the bathroom, just 4 normal clothes hangers, a tiny unusable desk placed right next to the bed.
I invite the manager to spend a night in the room with her/his family and see how liveable it is.
The rooms are all very close together and we had someone trying to enter ours at 3 am by mistake.

Breakfast is basic.
Buffet style, no (bad) coffee served at the table. Be obligated to wear plastic gas station gloves while the staff pushes the food around on the serving plates with their bare hands (in 3 days have not seen one member of staff in the restaurant wearing gloves).

Be aware that there is a 5 euro per person charge to use the spa area (which was nice).

Staff at reception barely speaks english and seems to be a collection of students with the exception of an older lady.
They couldn't help out with any basic questions.
For our covid tests we were referred to a hospital a taxi ride away by reception (nothing arranged for us), while there is a hospital a convenient 5 min walk away with fast turnaround times.

Booked this hotel for the rooftop pool which turned out to be a tiny plunge pool with glass walls on all sides, in full view of everyone at the tables.

All in all, basic hotel, no warmth/ personal factor and no care put into the rooms.

We had an incredible 5 night stay and can’t recommend the hotel enough. We chose this hotel for the suites (a godsend for a holiday with a baby) and the indoor spa pool (which was pre-bookable and allowed our daughter in). The staff absolutely make the hotel, the reception staff were friendly and welcoming, we loved how the housekeeping staff arranged our baby’s toys for her and the staff at breakfast were wonderful. I emailed on several occasions prior to our stay and responses were prompt and helpful. The spa is absolutely amazing, we paid 10 euros and had it to ourselves two mornings which was magical. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious. The rooftop terrace is peaceful and provides a lovely break from the city. The free minibar in the room and sweets at reception are a lovely touch. All of the attractions (apart from the aquarium) are walkable and there are lots of food and drink options nearby. One night we were disturbed by noise from another room and this was immediately resolved when we spoke to reception, there’s even a whatsapp number for contacting them during your stay. Thank you so much for an amazing trip.

We chose the hotel primarily because of its location close to the old town and bus station. On arrival we were told there was a technical problem with our room and they had moved our booking to their other hotel on the other side of the city. We objected as our restaurant bookings for all three evenings were in the old town and we planned to walk to the bus station for travel to Alcúdia when we left. The story changed from a problem with air con which we said we didn’t mind doing without, to a problem with pipes causing a smell, so it was pretty obvious they had just overbooked. In the end we went by taxi to the other hotel, then back in and out of the old town by taxi that evening, then back by taxi the next morning. They reimbursed the taxis but offered nothing else by way of compensation for the time and inconvenience, not even free breakfast or a bottle of wine. A Bali bed was mentioned but didn’t materialise and in any case we were in Palma for sightseeing not sitting by the pool so it was of no interest. We were told the room that had the issue would definitely be fixed the next morning but when we arrived we were told the room we had booked, a twin with a balcony wasn’t available. They said the twin beds were a request and not guaranteed. But when we booked it on booking.com it said the double room with balcony has twin beds and it still says that now, I just checked. This issue also wasn’t mentioned when we tried to check in the day before. So we had to choose between a room without a balcony or with one double bed. The whole experience was very poor and a disappointing start to our holiday.

Dear Words_on_the_world, In answer to your comments on TripAdvisor we are sorry to hear you did not find our solution suitable for you. We had a problem with the aircon and it was fortunately solved in a day. You were allocated in a superior category hotel and all taxis to and from the hotel were paid by us in order for you to assist to your dinner in Palma. The bed types always depends on availability; the booking is for a room type, not a bed type. This is a really great hotel!

What's to say -

Good location, slightly off the main tourist/shopping areas but none the worse for that. The main shopping streets are four blocks to the south, but 50 metres to the north there are some great restaurants, particularly Cassa Gallega at the top of the street has fantastic octopus and barbecued meats. Tast and La Tagliatella are also worth a visit.

The hotel is modern, very well designed in the public areas and rooms with interesting art and a sophisticated atmosphere, especially for evening cocktails at the rooftop bar.

The hotel is very clean, cleanest we have ever visited, the staff clean with he enthusiasm of athletes training for the Olympics. In fact all the staff are very nice people, quite young in the main, enthusiastic, friendly and professional. A special mention for the pool man who volunteered to take photos of us enjoying the pool in Jacuzzi mode (the photos turned out to be very good).

The website clearly show a small pool, just enough for cooling down when sunbathing, I thought it would be very busy but in fact there was never more that two or three people in the pool (in July)

I think is was worth paying extra for a room with a balcony, all on the 6th floor, our balcony had a view of the roof opposite but it was good for sitting out in the early evening.

It is also a good idea to take breakfast at the hotel, there was a wide range of hot and cold food and pastries.

The roof terrace was an excellent space for sunbathing, hotel towels were provided and there was a lovely shower to cool off. There were just enough sun beds, only fully occupied mid afternoon, the only problem was a shortage of umbrellas. There were a few large hotel umbrellas supplemented by beach umbrellas which had been left by previous visitors. This is quite an omission for an otherwise top class hotel, during our stay the flimsy beach umbrellas blew off the roof into the street below on two occasions! I rely on staying in the shade whilst my wife soaks up the sun, we always managed to get an umbrella but if we hadn't it would have been a very different holiday.

Overall I would recommend this hotel, a good location with great staff and accommodation.

From check in to check out we received outstanding service. On arrival the reception staff were so helpful and welcoming and offered us some water and sweets. Our room was fab and even had a complimentary mini bar fridge which was replenished every morning.
The hotel was really modern especially the dining area. Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice and open until 10am, which was great for late risers!
We booked this hotel as it had a terrace and it did not disappoint. The bar prices were really reasonable and loved the cocktails, of which we had several. The pool was small but did the job and wasn't too near the seating/sunbeds which was good.
Our flight home wasn't till 22.40pm but the hotel stored our luggage and after a day sightseeing provided us with use of a room to have a shower and freshen up, which was going above and beyond. We were also told we could use all the hotel facilities until we left for the airport.
I don't think I've ever written as long review but felt my stay warranted it as this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in and every member of staff we spoke to was so helpful and friendly.
We will def be back next time we are in Palma and will also think about looking at the other Melia hotels.

This is a modern hotel with clean and crisp rooms. The staff are a pleasure to deal with and the location is very good for exploration. A twenty minute stroll to most of the sights in Palma and it’s a short trip to the main transport hub at the station. Whilst there take the trip on the Sóller train, make certain you book the tram as well it will save you a few euros.

Breakfast in the hotel is more than acceptable without being breathtaking. The spa has a steam room, sauna and a pool but you need to book it for a 90 minute session, no more than 6 allowed in at a time. There’s a charge but not too expensive. Nice touch are the free drinks in the fridge which are restocked daily when the brilliant housekeeping is done. Really clean hotel.

So to summarise, location very good, well furnished rooms (we got a balcony room on the 6th floor (616) and we’ve been here for a 7 day break . Staff very friendly and helpful. Deserves its five stars.

Lovely, modern, clean hotel 10/10 and great minibar- free water and beer. Could not fault the rooms. However breakfast buffet was very poor on hot food- it was NEVER hot! Even arriving as soon as breakfast area opened the supposedly hot food (fried eggs and crispy bacon) was cold. Reason being the "hotplate" was barely warm, food kept uncovered and put on ceramic plates on a tepid hotplate. How do you expect food to keep warm for a couple of minutes let alone hours? No one wants to eat undercooked cold fried eggs or cold bacon. Great continental breakfast though, we generally avoided the "cooked", the bread choice was superb and good choice of fruit, yoghurts, cheeses and plant milks etc

We went half board and the evening meal was served in a cold dining area near the pool on the top floor. In mid April with wind howling around all diners had to wear fleeces/jumpers and some also had warm coats on top of their dining attire - not good. Why could we not eat on the ground floor in the warmer breakfast area which is warmer when weather cold and windy? After 4 evening meals (only allowed 2 courses on half board) and no change of menu we were restricted in choice of food which was quite limited. On several occasions both us and some neighbouring tables had to ask for food to be reheated once it arrived as again it often came to the table COLD. (cooked rice and a fish dish) Restaurant chef and manager please take note.

Overall despite the above we did enjoy our stay, ideal location for walking about, sightseeing and only 10 minute walk to the railway station for trips out, all hotel staff were very helpful and polite so could not fault that at all. 15 minutes drive from the airport. Local taxi drivers welcoming and on time.
