This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel and in 2 years and I am pleased to report that all the high standards have been maintained from the ease of checkin and out, the cleanliness of the room and the friendly and very helpful personnel.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we like to explore independent cafe’s but we did on the last night order food that is brought in for you and that was very enjoyable.
In view of the storm force winds in the uk when we were due to leave Palma the airline cancelled our flight but fortunately we were able to stay on at the hotel and in our room for another 2 nights.
The hotel is nicely located and is a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of the old town on one side of the road and the trendy Santa Catalina area on the other or just keep going straight until you hit the marinas. We will definitely r3turn to this hotel.

My Wife and me went for a small holiday trip in Palma, during Corona time. From the beginning, the stuff was nice, attentive, and always ready to help. It has to be mentioned, that during the times of Covid, the stuff was working tip-top, be it the planning of the breakfast schedules, service and disinfection. The rooms were exactly what we waited for: simple, chic and clean. The bed size was fine as well. The only upset was the air conditioning malfunction after the first night, where it stopped working and as a result, water started dripping out. We immediately got an upgrade for free, as well as lots of apologies.
The walking distance is 12-13 minutes, with a slow enjoyable speed, that might be a bit tiring if its too hot, but for a young couple, it shouldn't be any concern.
As of breakfast, it was always the same, but at the same time, always tasty!|
On the last day, we asked the stuff to send the things via Post, the things we couldn't take on airplane, and the respond was once again kind and quick! So yes, I would recommend this hotel, to anybody how's not too lazy for walking a bit, and has no special demands for a super posh and fancy hotel! The ones who love simplicity and tasty architecture, would be welcome there

The hotel has a fresh, modern interior. Breakfast is good. Staff at reception and at breakfast were friendly. The room itself was very minimalistic and finishing touches were so and so. I arrived late at night and found the room freezing cold as the window was left open. I failed to figure out how the heating works.

Wonderful hotel. Room very comfortable bed and super shower. Everything you could need Inc pool towels, Kettle & ironing board (small refundable deposit) and complimentary drinks provided first night (in mini bar). Breakfast excellent value - continental and hot food provided. It’s possible to hire bikes if you fancy exploring via the comprehensive cycle routes across the city. Walk 15 mins down towards the Port and experience the bars and restaurants in Calle de Fabrica - buzzy and great choice! Ask for the croquettes at Cosmopolis - delicious!

Beautiful hotel - felt like luxury! Provides a lovely breakfast, from meats/ egg to fresh fruit and cereal caters for most people. Service was great as we arrived late/ early morning in the hotel and warmly greeted, however, did not speak or see much of the employee's during our weeks stay after this point. Very peaceful & clean hotel. Stayed from the 14th -19th of October whilst the weather was still beautifully hot there were hardly any other guests! Perfect hotel for couples rooms are large and airy. Only a 20 min walk to the city centre but lots to see along the way. Would very much recommend - great value for money.

The rooms were kept clean; the basins perhaps were a little uncomfortable for short people to wash their hands and faces in comfortably - although the decor of same was very unusual. Being the changeover season, I was cold in my room - although very warm in bed. However, having mentioned this to the reception staff, I was given a heater, which made all the difference. The HM Balanguera is a very friendly and comfortable hotel, efficiently run. It is the perfect city hotel.

HM Balanguera is situated just 10mins walk from the centre of Palma in a quiet area. The staff are very friendly and the reception and breakfast are bright, clean & inviting. We stayed in a junior suite which was perfect for our stay with a large bed, double sink, wet/room shower and separate toilet. Two flat screen TVs allowed us to watch tv in bed but also in the small lounge. Complimentary mini bar was a bonus and is fully stocked on arrival but not replenished. There was a sun terrace with sunbed which was nice to get some fresh air and would be fantastic in summer. Breakfast was superb with fresh scrambled egg, bacon and the usual continental offerings. Pastries were amazing and fresh juice and coffee. Fresh and vibrant setting for breakfast. Some fantastic restaurants just 10mins walk and also only 10 mins to city centre and train station as Soller is a must visit. There is a pool on the top floor and drinks can be ordered at reception, no bar as such. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine one afternoon after a walk for only €6.

Hotel located slightly out of the town centre but an easy walk to the sights, so don’t let this put you off staying here. Room was slightly unusual design and a bit quirky, but in a nice way. Room was very clean and comfortable and minibar freebies were appreciated. Breakfast was very good - selection of meats, pastries and hot items. Plentiful and fresh. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Would not hesitate to return to stay if we ever revisit Palma.
Sat out on the roof terrace one afternoon which was also a welcome surprise after a morning of walking .

Comfortable and clean. It is in a residential area, walking distance to supermarket, park, local coffee shops and restaurants. The tourist area is reached on foot in 15 minutes. The nearest stop for the A1 bus to the airport is about 8 minutes walk. The room has a small fridge and they can heat up food in the microwave if needed. They may also provide a tea kettle and a normal size chair if needed (the standard chair is rather small). For a longer stay the breakfast may become boring as it is always the same. However, there is a nice little bakery a couple of doors down (and they also prepare sandwiches), and across the street on the corner there is a place for coffee.

Hotel was 15 minutes walk from the centre and 20 minutes from the Marina. The hotel was immaculately clean and all the staff where very helpful. They booked us our taxi transfers (same price as the taxi at the airport) made reservations for us and suggested beach clubs. Perfect city hotel for a short break in the sun. Rooms were nice but next time we would book a bigger room but think they only have doubles in, shame as we would have upgraded to a superior if they could have been twin rooms.
