My 9 years old I stopped for one night àt this very simple, but lovely hotel, before reaching Cala Murada. The staff and in particular the gentlemen that looked after our check in and out where very helpful. Room was clear, with a minor issue at the sink that was promptly address, a clean pool ready for a dip and yummy breakfast. In the neighbourhood there are cafés to eat, but my boy and I opted for a small supermarket shopping where hot food, paella included, was served (literaly 5 mins walk). Emails were answered in the process via app and on the departure day valuable info to save on taxi costs were given. A 10€ cab brought us to the Intermodal station, where I got a cheap, clean lovely train that arrived in Manacor safely, from there Cala Murada was very easy to reach. Inexpensive, clean, friendly, modern, comfortable, wonderfully located. Our host, Rodrigo, was the friendliest and most accommodating receptionist and lodging manager we've ever had, anywhere. He was a font of knowledge and provided for everything. The hostal is spotless, modern, brightly and pleasantly decorated. It includes a wonderful Mediterranean style breakfast daily including a coffee bar for 5 euros. Rental bicycles are available. There is a pool with a beautiful patio adorned with greenery. Just a 10 minute walk to the Hop-on Hop-off bus station, plenty of tapas-rich restaurants, Castle Bellver, and literally around the corner from a Mercadona supermarket. It's only 20 minutes by taxi to the airport for about 20 euros. If you're visiting Palma anytime, Hostal Bonany is definitely the place to stay.

You know you made the right choice once you discover the room and hostel facilities. Great comfortable hostel for tiny budgets like ours. Despite the 1*, you do get a lot and if you are lucky, you can get their marvellous little pool to yourself like us yesterday. Breakfast is only 5 euros and a pint is less than 3 euros. Staff are very nice overall and the place is spotless. Well done to the cleaning team! All in all, a great choice for stretched budget without the crowd of the noise of the more central places in Palma. Now you know!

We stayed at Hostal Bonany for almost two weeks. The place is kept clean and tidy. The room was spotless when we moved in, and room cleaning was excelent. Very friendly cleaning staff. Front desk staff was also friendly and helpful. Absolutely good value for your money staying at Hostal Bonany. Hostal Bonany is about 20 minutes walk away from city center. Many restaurants and shops nearby.

A lovely hotel / hostel in a quiet part of Palma, short walk to local bars and restaurants, not a million miles from yhe marina and castle. The staff were so nice and welcoming, the room was comfortable and had everything needed, the breakfast was just right - and only €5 ! - small bar and when closed an honesty fridge. Keenly priced.

Great hotel. Big and comfortable room with balcony. Staff very friendly. Everything very clean. Breakfast is good for extra 5 euros. Restaurants and buses at walking distance. There is a swimming pool. Highly recommended. Could do with an electric kettle in the room.

My wife (59) and I (62) decided to return to Mallorca where we got engaged 38 years ago!! Palma was selected (we got engaged in Magaluf!) and then we looked for accommodation. Hostal Bonany was one of our choices and we went for it. Believe me, we were delighted to have found such a gem of a place. Now, it took us a little bit of time to locate the small guest house but it was worth it. It is situated not far from the port and is within easy strolling distance of coffee shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It is also a pleasant stroll along the front to all the attractions of Palma although a bus passes nearby as well. The room we had was small but functional with excellent bathroom/shower facilities and a little balcony. A clean small swimming pool and lounge area was also perfect. We ate out the entire time although a continental breakfast at 2.50 euros seemed good value. Free internet was also available. Overall, everything was perfect for us.

We booked a double bedroom and they gave us a twin bedroom. we asked at reception and the answer was: " that's what we have available". you pay for something and then you get something you don't want......
The bathroom was dirty and you could hear everything from the other rooms..... really noisy .... If I could I would give this hostel zero starts.
The only good thing was the wifi for free, however I don't recommend this place to anyone.
As we were not happy in Hostal Bonany we moved to central Palma, for almost the same price we got better location in a more comfortable hotel close to nice bars and restaurants.

I guess you get what you pay for, but in this case the thing that put me off was that the room smelled which I put down to smoking, even though there was a fairly large "no smoking" sign hanging in the room. The room was sparsely decorated and the location is also a bit out of the way

The hotel is almost finishing renovations. Rooms are comfortable and new. The location is in a central location and would definitely recommend for a budget stay. Only issue is that there is no elevator but its not a big deal if you are traveling light, there are only 4 floors. The receptionist was extremely attentive and went above and beyond on our requests and also when asked for suggestions so congrats to him!
