Very expensive for a hostel and for what they were offering, although it was the cheapest accommodation we could find. Carpets were filthy, beds were dirty and you only get bed sheets but no duvet cover. You make the bed yourself and at check out bring the sheets downstairs to be washed. Only two plugs in a room for 4 people. Toilet and bathroom were not cleaned properly. Breakfast was ok, standard (juice, milk, tea and coffee, bread, cereal and small croissants). Staff was polite and welcoming.
FYI the building sees to the back yard of an infant school, so expect some noise in the morning.

Pros: Safe and good location, plenty of bars and restaurants around, transportation is good (airport bus stops nearby) and close to Palma city centre (20' on foot) and finally there's an entrance, lift and toilet for disabled customers
Cons: Dirty, too expensive for what it offers.

Plus: Friendly staff. clean room, very good breakfast.
Minus: located next to Kindergarden (after 8am it wasn't possible to sleep), and no climate control (but they started to install it :)
So, in general I have positive opinion about this place :)

I stayed in the hostel for three nights. To be honest, it was one of the worst hostel I have slept in. I am surprised at good opinions about cleanness, as during my stay the room, especially the awful, old carpet and bathrooms were dirty. I slept in 15 people room, which was very, very small with five three-floor beds. I couldn't even sit in my own bed because each level of bed was to low. Kitchen was quite ok, however, there was only one fridge and no stove. For that price (70 Eur for 3 nights) I could have expected better conditions.
Nevertheless, hostel is located in good location, close to the harbor and bus stops, which is the biggest advantage.

I booked this hostel for 2 nights mid-October. My flight landed in the evening and the door was shut when I arrived at the hostel, as the reception closes at 9 pm. I had to sleep in the lounge area as there was no staff around to check me in and give me access to my dorm, NOT GREAT! I slept in a 15-bed dorm on the second night. The room was packed and the mattress very basic. Shower was OK with hot water and free breakfast was a plus in the morning. I would not stay at this hostel again as there are better options in Palma!

Urban Hostel Palma is a hostel in Palma de Mallorca that boast of a youthful face lift from its predecessor-a convent. Situated above a daycare or pre-school, visitors will be delighted by the constant screaming, hollering and wailing of small humans. I don't blame the children, however one has to wonder what could be happening to the tiny humans to cause so much distress. Along with the symphonic noise made from the tears of babies, one will be delighted by the ever slamming doors due to people not closing their doors, instead they prefer to be organic and let the winds shut them. Along with the chorus of babies and the rhythmic slamming of the doors, we are treated to the voices of the people who run the hostels(especially Wally), they love to congregate together in places at night and just talk loudly for hours. Currently they are heard in the kitchen from my room on the other side of the hostel. Obviously the hostel has a long way to go, their kitchenette consists of a hot water kettle, counter, sink and microwave. Once upon a time I stayed in a hostel roughly the same size in Galway for 7 euro a night, they had a stove top UHP does not at 20 euro a night (that is a special btw). The fact that you will be eating out a lot will make up for those low prices. Finally, it is Spain it is 90 degrees Fahrenheit 32 degrees Celsius for the rest of the world if you are not going to temperature control then you need to provide a fan for the room.
I would think about a different hostel if I were you, one that has the basics that most hostels have, not a convent dressed up like a hip young chic hostel for Halloween.

Stayed there in December 2015. Don't think it was a good value. It's located in a nice neighborhood. The room has no heating at all, was very cold at night, so had to cover myself with two blankets. Breakfast is very basic, friendly staff who speaks average English.

Easy access to the centre of Palma (5-10 min walk) & close to all major transport hubs. Staff very friendly and professional. Accommodation is basic bunk beds, included sheets, covers and a towel. The kitchen, bathroom and shower room are well maintained and cleaned daily. Simple no-thrills breakfast include, 'tasty' mini pastry snacks, coffee, bread & cereal. There is also two vending machines that sell snacks and drinks. Overall, a clean, safe and friendly atmosphere.

Everyone in my room sweated all night long and had not slept the entire time they were there because it was so HOTt and there are NO fans--tiny windows and NO A/C. I had to change to another hotel it was so unbearable. Be warned if you plan to go in the summer months! One guy bought himself a mini fan just to hope to sleep one night--he slept a few hours.
Not enough power outlets for half the people in a room. Nowhere to put or hang your stuff (near or under your bed). Some lockers lock, others are shared...

The bunk beds are small and the ladders are terribly WOBBLY, noisy when you move just slightly. I truly feared I would collapse down onto the guy below me every night. The beds squeak with every small move or breath, so you can hear every small move from everyone all night. Noisy through the window too from all other rooms and a daycare.

The showers do NOT lock and are co-ed!! Nowhere to put or hang your stuff near the shower to keep it dry. Bathrooms have nowhere to put or hang your stuff either, so it's either on/in the toilet or the floor (ew).

Otherwise, the staff is friendly and do try to help but it's pretty disorganized. Nice people. The rest of the place is nice. WiFi does reach each room which is a plus. There is a big communal kitchen, lounge and a computer area. Too bad the rooms suck.

You are a small walk from the gorgeous town, but far from the beach.

this is a cool hostel in terms of the building (a converted church) and the general design (natural, Scandinavian style features such as white washed walls with exposed wooden beams). However, it didn't really have much of an atmosphere and there were no activists arranged such as group dinners, which is a shame as there is plenty of space in the kitchen or the large common area downstairs. No walking tours, or tips on neighbourhoods to explore were offered either. This is not a particularly cheap hostel, so you would expect features such as air-con (only fans were provided) and on several occasions the toilet paper supplies were dangerously low!
However, it was very clean and is obviously very new so that goes a long way. The mattresses were really comfy but I would recommend choosing a 4 or 2 bed dorm as 8-12 can get VERY hot at night without air con.
One thing they don't tell you is how cool the neighbourhood is immediately around this hostel. You come out, walk straight ahead through the park , turn left and there is a longish road which is alive at night with super cool and quirky bars and restaurants. This alone makes it a great choice of location. Palma town itself is a short 15-20 walk away from the hostel.

So, first of all, let me say the hostel wasn't all bad. The location is good, close enough to the centre and nearby Paseo Maritimo, so that's great. Kindergarden is next to the hostel, so do have earplugs.
BUT! The price you have to pay is way too expensive for what they offer, and the cleanliness is definitely a problem. They give you the sheets when you arrive and the beds look dirty ... I got bed bugs and I'm going crazy, feeling like scratching my skin off. It really is horrible. I told a staff member and he asked in which room (room number 5, btw) and said he is sorry about it. However, this really is an awful outcome for a hostel you overpayed in the first place.
