The rooms are getting a little tired, but the hotel has good public areas and fine views over Toledo. It is about a ten minute walk to one of the bridges into the city, so eminently walkable, although it is uphill on the way back....More
This was a very nice Hotel, in a quite area, and it had an amazing view of the city. The hotel is only about a 15 minute walk from the city. The service was Excellent. The only improvement I would like is for face towels...More
Agree with one of the reviewers. This property has been my best experience so far in Spain. We pretty much had the hotel to ourselves but Cristina and the rest of the staff were great! Incredible views of the city. So far Toledo has been...More
This was definitely my favorite stay of anywhere I visited in Spain. I arrived here at the end of an eight-month journey through 30 countries, and merely walking through the door it was immediately clear this is a special property. The front desk staff are...More

You can walk into the walled city if you enjoy walking and don't have difficulty with walking. We didn't do it because we were with my 75-year-old father who has some difficulty walking. Also, we did a lot of walking generally and the streets within the walled city are hilly and made of cobblestones so when it was time to go back to the hotel I was ready for a bus or taxi ride.
We took a taxi to the Toledo train station to catch a train into Madrid. It was approximately a 30-minute train ride to Madrid. Our son purchased the train tickets for us in advance. There is a small surcharge on the taxi fare when taking it to or from a train station or airport.
