The check-in was surly. We were given a small room with no view of the city. We were told no other rooms were available because of 2 large groups getting the better rooms in the front. We persisted and were sent to a lower room...More
We stayed there for one night with our 5 year old son. It was very cold (9C/48F) and the hotel heating was shut off, and when we complained twice they provided us with a small room heater which also did not work. We were all...More
During our two weeks in Spain, this hotel was the best value. It features very nice rooms that are large, most with good views of the city. It's a ten minute walk to the old part of Toledo or a five Euro taxi ride home...More

You can walk into the walled city if you enjoy walking and don't have difficulty with walking. We didn't do it because we were with my 75-year-old father who has some difficulty walking. Also, we did a lot of walking generally and the streets within the walled city are hilly and made of cobblestones so when it was time to go back to the hotel I was ready for a bus or taxi ride.
We took a taxi to the Toledo train station to catch a train into Madrid. It was approximately a 30-minute train ride to Madrid. Our son purchased the train tickets for us in advance. There is a small surcharge on the taxi fare when taking it to or from a train station or airport.
