This is a charming hotel and very convenient to the outdoor escalators that convey you to the old town our room was very nice and the hotel staff was very helpful. They even phoned on my behalf to locate my lost camera which I had left in a museum. Great breakfast.

We loved this beautiful, old hotel (once the elegant home of a cardinal,) built on the city wall, adjacent to the Bisagra Gate. We loved the outdoor restaurant with its tinkling fountains and the swimming pool, situated adjacent to the city walls. Our room was quirky with charming old doors, wood beams, and red tile floors. Moorish details abound and...

On the good side, the hotel & rooms have plenty of character and it is well placed for touring the sights but away from all the bustle. There is a good buffet breakfast and the reception staff very helpful. And it is not expensive. Conversely, the breakfast staff were unhelpful bordering sulky. The main problem was noise. It echoes down...

If you're looking for somewhere truly special to stay in Toledo, this is it. The hotel is simply and traditionally decorated, the staff are a delight and the wifi excellent. Sadly we only stayed two days as the hotel was fully booked, but it was lovely. We ate in the restaurant one evening and were charmed by the courtyard style,...

The hotel is located right on the city wall so it isnt Much of a hike to see the old center. You can either walk thewall or take the multi level escalator to the top. The underground garage is right next door, and with the hotel discount its about 13 euro per day. We were here on the shoulder season, so...

This hotel is built into the walls of the historic City and just a few steps from one of the primary gates. Although extensively re-modelled inside the rooms retain their charm being both peaceful and cool (can imagine the hotel is quite lively at weekends. With an excellent courtyard restaurant attached this is a superb way to spend time in...

I can't understand why this hotel is not 4 stars except maybe because there is no elevator. Rustic decor, big rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Outdoor restaurant, we were sorry we did not have dinner there but stop for a drink and it was such a pleasant atmosphere. You have to take an escalator to get to the old town, it is...

We just returned from 4 nights spent in this hotel and it is right up there as one of my favourites. The buildings, the gardens, the pool area were all beautiful. In some of the reviews I read, people complained that the rooms were a little tired, they were certainly old, but so is the building, that gives it character!...

First off, the location can't be beat if you have a car. There's a garage with reasonable rates right next door, and you don't have to do any driving on the very narrow, confusing roads of the city. This is a huge plus anywhere in Spain, as their signs for street names are not easily located while driving (most are...

Most unique hotel, it was a summer place for the Cardenal. Beautiful grounds, garden with a great restaurant. The small pool is perfect to cool off in the afternoon. Very relaxing. Decent wifi. Ask for the hotel for car park before arrival. A must stay in Toledo!
