This is a good hotel for the price. We were there 3 nights and the front desk staff were very helpful with pointing us in the right direction. We had a room facing the street and unfortunately that can be quite noisey. There is a bar/cafe across the street that shows soccer/football games and if Spain is winning watch out...

Arrived extremely jetlagged for an overnight stay on the first leg of an energetic Spanish holiday. At check in, Diana advised us we had a complimentary upgrade to a suite on the top floor - great! She then gave a list of the best tapas bars to in the town and very clear directions to the hotel's town underground parking....

We chose this hotel initially because it was located within the city walls but offered easy parking. We had a really nice room with a lovely view. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as we found a nice bar opposite, but it looked nice. It's an easy walk to the centre...

If you are driving to Toledo, this hotel is a good choice. Just past the imposing main gates, on the road up to the main square, it is easy to find. Private parking is available from the hotel about 200 meters away. The lady at the reception was very helpful and welcoming. The room was far better than your average...

We booked the Abad as a selected hotel for a wedding we were attending. The original room reservation was a one bedroom apartment just across the street from the hotel. When we entered the apartment (ground level) we were immediately overcome by the smell of mold. Calling the front desk the hotel staff promptly sent someone to address the situation;...

I agree with many of the other reviews of this hotel. Location couldn't be better. Staff is friendly and helpful. Easy to walk to every attraction a tourist might want to see, and easy to get to and from the train station. My only caution is the room. We had a top-floor room (garret) with an open-beam ceiling so severely...

This hotel is a diamond in the rough, well located for access to old Toledo (steep hills.) Staff were very welcoming and spoke very good English, recommended good restaurants and things to do. The breakfast is a very nice continental which we chose to eat and was fantastic. Room was spotless, functional with a lovely bath/shower ensuite. Room was attended...

Great location. Totally convenient, inside the walls. I liked the quick and easy check in with close by private parking and near 50% off rate €12 when purchased at hotel. I thought the quaint pretty room 32 a little noisy, with French windows open, but the double doors completely alleviated that. I would have breakfast elsewhere up the steps into...

We had a quaint room with a slanted ceiling and open beams on the fourth floor. The room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was quick, simple and good. Get a high room facing the city.

We found that one in a recent visit to the magestic town of Toledo near Madrid. The hotel is small but conveniently located in the historical center of old Toledo. Just minutes away from the main areas to be visited. The rooms are not too big, but enough. Clean, with all the facilities needed, and a small brekfast buffet in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the midst of the walled city of Toledo sits this unique hotel, whose principal structure is a rustic home and an antique blacksmith shop dating back to 1815. The enclave's easy access to all points of Toledo is privileged. Near Zocodover, the city's principal plaza, the Hotel Abad Toledo is surrounded by some of Toledo's most emblematic monuments: the Puerta del Sol, the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz (999 B.C.), the Puerta de Bisagra in addition to amazing views of the lower section of the Tagus River. This charming three-star hotel houses 22 rooms, each one unique. During the restoration of the building, efforts were made to maintain all of its original element, such as hand-hewn wooden ceiling and wall beams and exposed brickwork, while adding a modern concept of design and decoration. The results are both functional and innovative, but always very cozy and inviting. Paying special attention to the guest, this family endeavour has thought of every detail to ensure a comfortable stay: air conditioning, heat, Radio, satellite dish, personal safes and hair dryers. Also a buffet-style breakfast composed of traditional Spanish and more continental fare is offered every morning. ... more   less
