In the midst of the walled city of Toledo sits this unique hotel, whose principal structure is a rustic home and an antique blacksmith shop dating back to 1815. The enclave's easy access to all points of Toledo is privileged. Near Zocodover, the city's principal plaza, the Hotel Abad Toledo is surrounded by some of Toledo's most emblematic monuments: the Puerta del Sol, the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz (999 B.C.), the Puerta de Bisagra in addition to amazing views of the lower section of the Tagus River. This charming three-star hotel houses 22 rooms, each one unique. During the restoration of the building, efforts were made to maintain all of its original element, such as hand-hewn wooden ceiling and wall beams and exposed brickwork, while adding a modern concept of design and decoration. The results are both functional and innovative, but always very cozy and inviting. Paying special attention to the guest, this family endeavour has thought of every detail to ensure a comfortable stay: air conditioning, heat, Radio, satellite dish, personal safes and hair dryers. Also a buffet-style breakfast composed of traditional Spanish and more continental fare is offered every morning.

Very nice hotel, conveniently located. While the room was small (which we've gotten used to at most places we've stayed), it was nicely decorated in dark wood and we had a nice street view. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. It was also very nice of the staff to a

The rooms were of an unique decor, comfy and clean. Nice breakfast and excellently located. When we were leaving they held our luggage for the day until we left town in the evening. Check out the free parking down the new town.

Hotel is in an excellent location, rooms are nice although it would have been nice if there was coffee making facilities in the rooms, breakfast was not the best we've ever experienced but no big deal I suppose. Julio and Diana on reception were superb and really helpful. I would

This hotel is absolutely charming. My room was in the back, facing a tiny, winding, cobblestoned, residential street, backing right up to one of the ancient city walls. Unlike so many modern hotels, you can open the window - and leave it open day and night! The room was quiet a

Easy to find using Google maps. Park temporarily next to hotel, check in, and they will give you directions to reserved parking some 200 meters away if you have reserved a spot. Very helpful lady on reception. Nice clean hotel in a nice location. It is next to road in town and th

Does hotel offer tapas?
I do not think so: we did not eat at the hotel nor have the buffet breakfast, so cannot really comment. There are, however, many tapas type bars within just a few minutes of the hotel. We asked at the reception in the evening and they were very helpful, giving us a map with their preferred bars.

I am sorry but I can't remember the cost yet you do pay the hotel for it
When we arrive, should we go first to the hotel, unload, and then park -- or should we go directly to the parking garage? If that is the case we need directions. Thanks in advance.
Check in first and then park. Immediately to the left of the hotel is a small parking spot for a couple of vehicles and they will let you park there for a few minutes. The street is too narrow and somewhat busy to pull over directly in front of the hotel door. They will also give you instructions on where the garage is and where to park in the garage. Have a great trip

Que tal el desayuno? Vale la pena incluirlo en la reserva?
Por supuesto, desayuno mediterraneo donde no falta de nada: cafe, infusiones, zumo, diversos panes, jamon queso fiambres..., fruta, yogur, mermeladas, bolleria....

"Rooms facing the street have a better view and although they face the main road, we did not have problems with noise."
"Ask for a room on the street side that is bright and has a balcony."
"This hotel is right in the middle. So, everything is just walking distance from here. Cathedral, Jewish quarter, everything."
