ROOM/BATH: We stayed in a private double room with shared bathroom without airconditioning (which was not really necessary when we stayed). At first, I had qualms regarding the shared bathroom idea--mainly because of hygiene and time concerns. Turns out, I was worried for nothing. Our bathroom (in Floor 2) was well kept and I never had to queue for my...

Positives: Location, price, fridge to use, friendly German owner Downfalls: Hard to locate upon arrival, a staff member was really unhelpful when politely asking about some mail (that we had prearranged to have delivered), wifi in room didn't work, broken window and shower floor

Staff We were greeted by our host, a very friendly guy named Francisco. Although we didn't really need him during our stay, we felt like we could have asked him anything. Facilities The guesthouse is in a very old building. Old and authentic. The elevator is fantastic and an adventure in itself. The rooms are beautiful, a bit quaint and...

The building is ancient and very nice. An owner Gunther was trying to do his best. My single room was really ok, with the heating system and even tv as it is not that common in guesthouse's single rooms. The bathroom very clean. However, it was impossible to take a rest due really bad soundproof. You can hear everything what...

This guesthouse is well located only a short walk to the tourist hub. The rooms are small, clean and welcoming. The shared bathrooms are continuously cleaned. For those arriving late at night it is a little hard to find as there is no signage outside. The staff are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. I would certainly recommend as a safe...

I booked it because it looked like a big comfortable house and it was less than a mile from the historic district. As soon as I hit pay I realized it was shared bathrooms and got trepidatius. However as soon as I got there I realized it was a big old beautiful house and it was very comfortable using the...

The old adage of you get what you pay for. This guest house is clean and simple. But I'm going to put it out there that I found it a little odd. I arrived in a foreign city late at night not having slept for about 26 hours. Dropped unceremoniously in the street by the taxi at the address I...

For my first solo trip I chose to stay here as my first destination. I chose to stay in Eddy Rooms due to the good price and location. It was perfect for what I needed. On arrival I was greeted by a friendly member of staff, I had arrived a few hours early in the hope that I could leave...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
