Hotel Arts Barcelona emerges as a beacon of cleanliness, with guests unanimously lauding its immaculate rooms and pristine grounds. Its coveted location by the marina and beach garners high marks, placing guests at the heart of Barcelona's charm.
Despite this, some visitors feel the cost doesn't align with the service and amenities offered, citing experiences of poor service and dated decor that detract from its value. Nonetheless, the hotel's array of amenities, including luxurious suites with sea views and a well-appointed spa, often receives high praise, though opinions on the atmosphere are mixed.

The Hotel Arts is a member of the Ritz Carlton family of hotels. It's located right on the beach in an area with a casino and a variety of restaurants and night clubs. The building is a skyscraper by Barcelona standards and has an interesting modern design.
The staff are very friendly and gracious. The common areas are what you'd expect from this level of hotel. Entry is thru the ground level with a ride up to the lobby. Then another elevator to the rooms. Elevators were quick and comfortable.
The 1 bedroom suite we had was spacious with beautiful views but the lighting controls were not intuitive and the decor was just a little worn out. The 1.5 bath in this configuration was very nice but the sink in the half bath splattered water all over the mirror. Also, the living room windows were very clean while the bedroom windows were dirty on the outside mildly impairing the view.
The bed was very comfortable and there were nice areas to sit and enjoy the views. The main bath had a tub and separate shower with rainfall and body shower heads as well as a bench to sit on. Fixtures were all as you'd expect at this level.
The television offered a mix of international channels with 3 news channels in English.
Room service was prompt and the food was good. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant was just okay and not worth the of over 80 euros for two. There was a nice mix of fruit, pastries and some hot items, but no chef for omelets or waffles etc. The coffee shop next to reception offered a nice light menu at a more reasonable cost. We did not try the Michelin starred restaurant.
There was some night club noise that reached our room on the weekend. All in all this is a beautiful hotel within a 20-30 min walk of most of Barcelona's main attractions. We would stay here again for the right rate.

This hotel is centrally located, with many bars and restaurants close by. Great views of both the sea and Barcelona.
We had a wonderful stay in this hotel, the rooms we got had fabulous views. Anything that needed fixing was done straight away without any issues. The staff, even understaffed, did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is kept in immaculate condition. Due to Covid 19 they had sanitising gel everywhere which made us feel secure. If your mask broke the hotel had a new one for you. The room windows however were dirty which was pity if we wanted to take pictures of the views.
The only negative pert of the review is the breakfast experience. The price for breakfast is 39 euros per person, you get a menu in which you can choose 1 item, if you want more you have to pay another 6 euros. the choice is limited in the dining room and the menu also has limited choice. when we were seated the first day we received a platter of mini croissants and chocolate breads and come small baguettes. This for a family of 4. When we asked for more we were told we needed to pay more..for 39 euros a person I found this to be shameful. once my husband said he wanted to speak to the manager we were given more. This is where this hotel needs to work on as I am sure we are not the only guests who were disappointed. Other than this we were happy with our overall stay and thank the staff for their continuos effort to make it a memorable one.

Every time we visit the Hotel Arts Barcelona is like a dream. This time even with the COVID situation is one of the few hotels that decided to open in the city from 15th July. We were from 15th to 19th and then we were back from 24th to 29th July. The first days we took the Club Level which was amazing, adapted to the new situation, compensating overly the lacks they should apply because of the new situation. Outstanding. Specially thanks to Mrs. Ana Simatovic and Mrs. Samanhe Fathi.
On the second stay, they informed us that they had to review the services from the Club and they strongly recommended us to better not stay at the Club, while we intended to not move us from the hotel and to use all the open facilities. Special mention of the outstanding service at the Pool (Marina Restaurant), with permanent attention to detail, with a menu of fresh market and Mediterranean products. Prices of the menus are very reasonable for a luxury facility with that level of product quality and service. Special thanks to the Marina restaurant manager.
As we asked our friends to visit us at the hotel for safety reasons, we had all meals at the hotel. A pity that the night terrace hadn't the same menu as during midday. However, we noticed that and the night after we could have some of the dished of the midday menus. Great done.
Summing up, always at RC and especially at Hotel Arts Barcelona, 99% of everything is impeccable if something wrong happens they know how to proceed and immediately compensate for it. (Rude guy at the night in room service, mentioned night menu, etc. - they know how to manage to make you feel as best as possible).
Highly recommended even in these strange moments, as it is a safe and relaxed place to stay.
Note: SPA is closed and signature restaurants too, for the COVID situation or renovation.

Wow let me just say we were very very impressed with everything here. Saffion checked us in and he was truly amazing. He made our stay memorable. He not only helped us check in and get comfortable but he helped us the next day as well and went over the top he has amazing exceptional guest service skills and excelled at his job. He really was a huge part of our trip and making it as fun as it was.
The hotel is in a very good location right by the beach! The whole property is beautiful and well designed. Although we were there in winter the pools weren’t open but the area wasn’t closed off so we walked around and the grounds are outstanding. Love all the detail on the property. The room was fantastic more than we could’ve ever wished for. Big spacious, amazing comfortable bed. The blinds go down in a metal sheet like motion so no light would disturb us. There was an nespresso machine. The service when calling for water and coffee was impeccable. The bathroom had two sinks a bath tub and a shower area. Was huge and well designed. Everything was clean and orderly and easy to find. I appreciated the nesspresso machine and that it didn’t come with knock off pods.
The gym was more than i expected. It was fabulous. It was huge and stocked with water and towels and even had pilate machines! Wish it was 24 hours but i enjoyed my time spent in there.
The spa on the 43rd floor was also impeccable. It was the cherry on top of the Sunday! The views and the service and everything about it. It was such a delight. After walking around all day relaxing there was the best thing we could’ve done. Steam room and sauna and hot baths it was exceptional. The ladies up there were very friendly and helpful and gave great service.
We are at the Barcelona edition now and we wish we never left. Should’ve booked the whole stay at the arts because it was a million out of 10 star review. It was just the best all around. Thank you soffian for making our stay the best ever and showing us the hospitality and kindness you did. We had a blast! B

I have holidayed in Barcelona on a number of locations with my family, normally staying in the Eixample area but this was the first 'beach' holiday we have taken, so we choose to stay at the Hotel Arts and we loved it.
From the moment we arrived in our taxi, we were made to feel really welcome and looked after. From the staff at reception, through to the staff in the restaurants, the infinity pool and the bar, we had only good experiences. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, they genuinely seemed to be happy you were there. We were upgraded to an executive double room on the 23rd floor, which I believe has had some work done, so ask for a high floor when booking.
The infinity pool sunloungers are probably the most comfortable beds I have sunbathed on. It was difficult to get them a couple of the days as we were there in August and it was high demand but the staff operate a system where you put your name on a list and they will come get you when the bed is available, so we always ended up happy.
We had breakfast at the hotel 3/5 days and I would recommend going at around 9.30/9.45, it got really busy after that and isn't as enjoyable.
The location on the beach made a nice change for us and the walk into Barceloneta and Port Vell, which is approx 20 mins is really easy and felt very safe along the beach.
I will definitely return to this hotel for another holiday, hopefully it won't be too long!

I don’t think that this hotel deserves the Ritz Carlton name. While we were upgraded to a nice corner room the redemption for Marriott points was a stunning 110,000 per night. This hotel simply is not worth that amount of points. What adds insult to injury is that they are now advertising rates of less than €300 now so I should not have redeemed such a high amount of points. Our room was nice but the housekeeping service was inconsistent with amenities as simple as coffee not being replaced every day unless you would ask for it. I actually made a point on day 2 of 4 to ask please we want coffee everyday. They finally got that right on day 4. Today, they did not replace the shampoo and hair conditioner. The toilet has had a lightbulb out the entire stay and the door both to bathroom and shower does not close properly. The towel rack on toilet door is also loose and looks like it may fall off. The carpet in room has dirt and wear spots. On 3rd day there was a room service table from the night before that remained outside our door for wait for it…….more than 12 hours. When we woke up the room service table was there with an empty bottle of Moët from next door room at around 11am. We returned to room at 11pm and table and empty Moët still there. Ritz Carlton folks. Ritz Carlton.

This hotel is in a wonderful location close to the beach and walking distance from Barceloneta and El Born. The rooms are nice and spacious. We came here last year and loved it. Also Enoteca is fabulous.
That said, we do not plan on coming back for our next visit to Barcelona. We are traveling with a baby and we requested a crib when we made the reservation, we emailed a few days in advance of our arrival, we called earlier the day of our arrival, and we mentioned the need for a crib at check in. We were assured at each time that the crib would be there. It wasn’t. After a long day of travel and a very tired little girl, we waited about 45 minutes after several phone calls and face to face discussions with the front desk and the bellhop to highlight our need for the crib as our baby was crying “I want to sleep!” The hotel sent up some cava and juice to apologize for this issue. Cleaning is another issue. We are traveling with a baby who has a nap schedule so we have to use the do not disturb for a couple hours each day. Most days this was fine but one day we had to call three times from early and late afternoon to early evening before giving up so the cleaners wouldn’t come up while the baby was sleeping. This is not a great situation when there are dirty diapers involved.
While the rooms and location are great for families and we very much enjoyed Hotel Arts during our previous stay, we will look elsewhere in the future due to the service issues.

We stayed in the Penthouses the weekend the Coronavirus lockdown started, and we can honestly say all the staff we encountered at the hotel were more than friendly, welcoming and helpful. We also really liked that every member of the hotel team always introduced themselves when we spoke to them.
We arrived late at night and were greeted by the extremely friendly front of house staff, which also included Helio, who showed us to our fantastic penthouse. We loved the amazing surprise for our son and the lovely cards and welcome gifts.
On Saturday the first Coronavirus restrictions were imposed and the staff in the restaurant, front of house, as well as housekeeping were dealing with all the changes so well and were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff in the Bites cafe did their utmost to make our breakfast experience special.
On Sunday the lockdown started and again, all of the staff kept us informed of the changing conditions and made our stay as great as could be under the circumstances. We also were able to be flexible with our late checkout, which was fantastic and so helpful.
Especially the Penthouses team and Mehdi were brilliant, as well as Hermione.
A big thank you to all the staff, who must have also been worried about their own families.
We would love to come back another time, when the world has gone back to normal.
Until then, please all stay safe and healthy!

Thank you to Lara and Alba for making our long stay pleasant.
Along with the staff at breakfast housekeeping and room service.
For management: even if this hotel is really not full, a few more staff members would have make our stay more 5 stars like felling.
We stayed for more then a few days. But due to COVID-19 measures our cup for the coffee in the room had to be from carton. No refill of coffee.
Restaurants in BCN are closed from 17.00 so a few nights we decided to go for the room service .
During the week perfecto!
Weekend so so, we had to wait for to long (more saff please)
But both week and weekend food was excellent. A really a tiny carte but good.
Breakfast is really a bit like in a NoVotel ( sorry for the comparison but that is wat I felt)
Mini minimum buffet.
Staff always super nice
Cleanliness perfect ! Desinfectante everywhere (and good quality)
Rooms perfectly clean.
We know we can not expect super over the top quality service but maybe with a bit more of creativity you could make it a bit better.
Beautiful flower arrangement throughout the hotel.
We were very happy with the city view on the Sagrada Familia.
And the comfortable bed.
Little plus the rooms can be ventilated via the under part of the window.
Thanks again to all the staff !
Que os vaya bien I que tot exo acabe rapidito ! Fins aviat.

The Hotel Arts is a 5-star hotel experience, with some of the best customer service I have received. Our room had partial views of Barceloneta beach, which was beautiful to watch at sunset.
The only reason I don't give a full 5 to Hotel Arts is that the location is quite a trek from the sights we wanted to see. There is a subway stop within 5 minutes, but still took us at least 30 minutes to get most places.
If you're coming to Barcelona for the beach, though, this is the place to be.

I would say the pool isn’t suitable - it is very busy and crowded when we went. The tiles on the floor of the pool were loose and were being used as skimming stones by some of the other guests.
Getting chairs around the pool when we went was very difficult, getting any shade was impossible. The staff were moved a guest with a baby out of some of the shade from the poolside restaurant for access reasons.
It is very close to the beach, and i believe you can buy a sun umbrella down their.
