A lovely, basic friendly little pension, super helpful staff. I chose it because of its proximity to the station, so easy to reach from the Airport, and the lovely street has lots of cafes, plus metros Jaume and Barcelonetta, as well as Estacio de Franca. We shared a 3 bed room, quite spacious, radiators were on despite temp of 16...

This is very basic accommodation and you get what you pay for. However it is clean, comfortable and a great location . Staff were lovely! very helpful and polite. We had a private bathroom with shower. Small balcony which had beautiful views. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. 10 min walk to the beach and la rambla. would definitely stay...

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean accommodation, fantastic location, at a great price, what else could you ask for! It can get a little noisy outside but that's to be expected in every peak location.

It is worth spending your stay here. We booked a single room for two of us and our baby and we were fully satisfied. The staff is kind and friendly. Good cleanness overall. Its location is the strong point, right in the city centre at few meters from the Parc de la Ciutadella. The lift is quite small so we...

It's a simple hostel, with private rooms and shared bathrooms. The location is great, in Barceloneta, close to the heart of the city. 24h door clerk. The staff is great, very helpful. It's an excellent option for low budget travellers

I came to barcelona with my friend and my first impression of this pension was all right but after a few nights of stay we started to hate it. There were very noisy people next door and they were very dirty. They left hairs, wet towels on the ground in the bathroom witch was absolutely disgusting. And on top of...

I stayed here just for 3 nights and got #14 room that has a big balcony viewing French railway station. The location is superb: right next to the nice park, Zoo, Gothic quarter and in 10-15 min walk to Barceloneta beach or Colomb. There is a shared bathroom that was always free so I had no troubles in using it....

Myself and my partner stayed here for 5 nights to attend the Formula 1 Grand Prix . We got a train from Barcelona airport and got off at Estacion Francia and the pension is literally across the road from the station . We arrived quite late at night , but it was no bother for the gentleman on the desk...

We were very satisfied with our stay due to the extremely friendly and helpful staff. For example, they changed their internal schedule so that we could stay longer in our room and helped us out with commodities. The rooms are spacious, clean and the classic European architecture looks impressive. The classic construction also means that sound travels quite easily, but...

With the beautiful El Borne to explore just round the corner. Rooms airy and clean. We had a balcony at the front of the building and didn't find noise a problem. Would definitely...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
