We had a great three night stay. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. No other meals available and no bar open. Our room (520) was comfortable with pleny of hanging space but very dark, no natural light as very close to another building. The Cristal Palace is in a great location and within walking... More

Loved our stay. Comfortable room, friendly staff, great breakfast, convenient location in city center. Professional in every way, and by Barcelona standards, the room is quite large with a soaking tub. Would happily stay here again.

We came 12:30 and the rooms were not ready until 14:00. The building is quite old and there are noticeable spots like squicking doors, dirty floors, mold on the walls etc. Rooms are very small and not cozy at all except if you are a minion. The highligt was that we paid 400 euros per room because of the exhibition!!!... More

We stayed overnight here and had a nice clean comfortable room. No view but it was only overnight.Food was ok and breakfast was pretty good. Probably would not choose it for a longer stay. But it is in a great location.

The location is good. It´s on the corner of "Paseo de Gracia" avenue, one of the most beautiful streets in Europe, with "Pedrera" and "Batelo" houses and near the Old town, "Ramblas" and "Plaza Catalunia". I´ve been there for a week in two rooms with my family...the hotel is old and need urgent work. The rooms were dirty, poorly maintained... More

The hotel is very nice, well located, romos big enough, my room have a balcony x stree with place enough to be outside under the sun Breakfast outside the hotel is much cheaper, than in the hotel, nearby bars and places with good options for breakfast, lunch, dinner or anything to have something to eat.

The hotel is very clean and the superior room was large enough. The terrace and the view were not very nice. Breakfast is quite good and not too expensive. The position is absolutely perfect. In summary, worth the price.

The hotel was chosen because of fantastic location. Apparently this is the main advantage of it. Generally everything was ok but want to give some suggestions to management to improve: 1) if the renovation is ever going to be done to paint the rooms white and to put lighter color furniture. The rooms look moody, dark, cold: you don't want... More

Location is the best advantage of this hotel. One can walk to a number of attraction sights. Rooms are quite adequate but some of them face the "hole" - shaft at the back of the building rather than nice street. Rooms are tight but one can live with that if the purpose is touring Barcelona. Breakfasts were very good.

A comfortable hotel at the perfect location and walking distance to the city center. I would rate this as an average stay considering better hotels around Barcelona , perhaps for the same price. This is an old hotel too. Service is poor and staff quality has to improve. If you are on a budget and looking for a decent stay... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
