A very pleasant B&B, in an historical building, with very nice tiles. Staff very friendly, gives good information. The location is very quiet and very central. Very nice rooms and beautiful terrace ( room with terrace is worth it). Breakfast is Ok.

Signage is very small on the side of the doorway, nothing facing the street for taxis to find. Address given as no. 286 yet only visible no. is 288. No signage to say it's on the first floor ditto the lift. Rooms tasteful but not luxurious. Shower is in the bath so a little difficult. No place for clothes in...

I stayed at the hotel for five days with my mother and we both loved the place. The building is historical and very beautiful. Breakfast was amazing and the staff super friendly. Location is perfect - the area is very safe aslo at night.

This was perfect for our stay although it is a bit hard to find since the only sign is a small bronze plaque on the side of the doorway of the building. As others mentioned, it is necessary to walk up some steps to reach elevator from the building lobby. Circa 1905 is on the second floor. Our room was...

This charming hidden gem of a hotel ticked all the boxes for us for our stay in Barcelona. Beautifully appointed, you feel as though you are staying in an elegant French home. The breakfasts were superb and were all served in a lovely lounge where you tended to want to linger. The staff were exceptionally helpful and thoughtful and our...

This small hotel/B&B is centrally located in the Eixample district of Barcelona. It is on the second floor of a business building between Rambla da Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. The hotel only has 9 rooms. We chose one of the rooms with a balcony on Carrer de Provença. The open doors allowed a nice, cool breeze into the room, but...

Very charming, art deco. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is great for Gaudi interested visitors. Near the Metro and you can get around the entire city in a flash. The room decor is a little sparce but the ammenities are all there. Nice that it includes continental breakfast that you can eat on your little balcony. Only...

PRO'S: This is a truly great six room hotel or B&B. We arrived with a sick friend and they were extremely helpful in getting a doctor to the hotel in the evening. The breakfast buffet is all you can imagine- fresh fruits, various breads, regional cheeses, meats and four types of fresh juices. The rooms are typically small by American...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
