We spent two nights at this hotel before cruising on Norwegian Spirit. On arrival we were shown to our room. Very basic, bed very hard and room smelled very smokey. Because we had been travelling all day we were hungry and decided to eat I....More
A party of 4 two double rooms. This was clean and very pleasant. Breakfasts were excellent. Receptiom was very helpful and friendly. Okay it is away from the centre but that has advantages like quieter and cheaper. It does not take long to get to...More
I booked a Groupon deal to watch a Barcelona game and 2 nights in this hotel was included (I later booked an extra night as the flights were alot cheaper if we went out earlier!).

On arrival at the hotel the reception was excellent, very fast booking in and we were immediately allocated our room (it was only 11.00am). The room was spacious, though smelt a bit "smokey" and maybe the net curtains were a bit aged, but having let...More

The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of
activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.

There is no airport shuttle service, we paid for a 3 day underground pass which was well worth it. But it is about a 15 minute walk to the hotel a bit of a haul if you have got a lot of baggage, hope this helps

For a relaxing drink just come out of the door turn left and about 50 yards away are about 5 bars/restaurants in a row. Food is decent and a selection of drinks. For partying I would suggest getting taxis into town as they are pretty cheap. You can take the metro at Poblenou but probably a 6-10 minute walk depending how fast you walk. Was there for Primavers Sound Festival so no idea whay the nightlife is like in central Barcelona I'm afraid.
