Are room was ready when we arrived at the hotel and the staff were welcoming and pleasant. We had reserved a Queen room with City view (room 702). Very small room with hardly anyplace to put things and low lighting everywhere. Also, no exhaust fan in bathroom so really fogged up after showers. There was a balcony but the door...

While staff is friendly sevice needs lots of work. 3 people on duty could not get our drinks only order to us in a timely manner with only 15 people in the bar. Suggest you go done the street for faster and better service.

The Renaissance is really close to the main shopping road. Within a few minutes of walking, you find shops of all major brands as well as cafés and restaurants. The area is really buzzing and the hotel at a busy crossroads. You don't hear much inside the rooms facing the street but I would still recommend to try to have...

We were on a Viking Ocean tour and had a pre-stay before our cruise that was leaving from Barcelona. Unlike some other hotels we have visited in connection with a cruise this hotel handled crowds efficiently and with courtesy. The staff gave you their immediate attention. After a long flight it was nice to get our room early at 1pm....

We arrived at this hotel at approximately 11am on a Friday morning following a wonderful two week transatlantic cruise. Unfortunately, our room was not ready, though we have ELITE status, and that resulted in us changing clothes in a restroom downstairs near the gym before carrying on for our 1pm sightseeing appointment. The hotel was swamped with Viking River Cruises...

The hotel is nice and in a nice area. It doesnt blow you away but it is perfectly nice. The rooms are very dark with a lot of wood paneling. We had a suite which gave us some extra room but they could have done so much more with the layout to not make it feel cramped and small. The...

The Internet says this place is a 5* hotel. I'm not really sure. Rooms are pretty small. Queen size bed looks more like a double. Room is pretty standard really. Guess I just expected more from a 5* establishment. The view of the city from the room is great though. The stuff at reception very helpful and always eager to...

The hotel staff here is totally useless. We tried to use the navigator staff to help us book a trip to Cava wine country during our week here. We told the person we wanted to book a train and take a cab for the remaining distance. She suggested that we should let her find a wine tour instead. BIG MISTAKE!!!!...

Nice hotel, wonderful location and friendly, helpful staff that speaks English. My only small complaint would be that breakfast is not automatically included and is expensive to add. However, there is an inexpensive bakery right across the street.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
