The Tryp Apolo was a good base to visit Barcelona. A short walk to the harbour and other main attractions The hotel itself was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. The staff we spoke to on reception were very helpful. All in all good value for money.

Location is excellent, easy walk to Ramblas, Hop on Hop Off Tourist Bus terminus and Columbus Statue. Definitely go for the breakfast, really good value for money; never seen so many fresh fruit options on a breakfast buffet before. The staff are amazing, we dined like Kings on recommendations from the staff. Go with their recommendations, there are so many...

Friendly and helpful staff, great buffet breakfast. The evening meal was a set menu and would have preferred a varied menu each evening as it got a bit repetitive. However, the service was great and the quality of the food and ingredients used.

Dear Guest, Great to know your excellent comments! We really take into account your comments in regards our dinner menu but would love you to let us know which one of our menus was the one you found a little repetitive; we have a half board menu with eight starters and eight main courses and desserts as well as a...

Within walking distance of LaRambla and transportation and the neighborhood had shops and was very safe. We walked almost everywhere and used the map that the hotel gave us.. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and quiet and had free internet for 24 hours which was a big help as we were reserving tours...

Had a problem on check in, put us in a room with two single beds, and the second floor while the other couple we traveled with had a king bed and top floor (we booked together and asked for rooms that are close). Guys at reception initially said that everything is booked but then called us an hour later when...

We stayed at this hotel for one night. It was close to the airport and offers a free shuttle. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Perfect for an early morning start. You can pay for your breakfast the night before you leave. There is a main dining room and a couple of bars. You would need a car...

This hotel was in a fab location. Walking distance to la rambla and port. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I went with three friends and we were allocated a family room on 6th floor. The views were great the room itself was very spacious for the four of us. The room was split into two rooms with separate tvs...

Nicely located near the harbour and Las Ramblas. There was a subway next to the hotel and plenty places to eat nearby. The decoration of the room was a bit dated but the staff were nice and friendly. Carefull with the mini bar! We took a bottle of water that was prioced at two euros only to be charged six...

We picked this place based on its location proximity and its price, but we got more than that. We got a comfortable, clean room overlooking the main street. this is a safe neighborhood, only about a 5 minute walk to Ramblas and the pier. The staff was friendly and efficient. Front desk checked us in quickly and gave us a...

Got a good deal on this hotel. We stayed for three nights at the start of our summer holiday. The location is good , as it's right beside a metro station, and within walking distance to all the main shopping and restaurants on las ramblas. The room was spacious, cleaned daily, and the bathroom was sufficient for our needs. Breakfast...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
