We stayed in the triple room for 4 nights. For the money, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and spacious, and also very quiet at night. There was some building work going on in the hotel but this did not disturb us. My only criticism would be that the shower curtain did not go all the way round...

We found Hotel Paral-el easily, just round the corner from the metro and were surprised that we could have a gentle stroll to the Rambla in about 10-15mins, it must have been less than a mile. The cafes near the hotel were really cheap but the area had a real buzz of locals rather than tourists - which is of...

Myself And my boyfriend stayed at the hotel parallel recently. It is only a 2 star but I think this is because it doesn't have a bar or pool. When staying in Barcelona you don't really need this. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the ramblas, and the metro station is a 5 minute walk which is the...

hotel is in the old city and the surrounding are quite "pictoresque". 5 min from metro station and about 10 min walk to Ramblas. rooms have been recently renewed and were clean and comfortable. hotel personnel can speak English. Only bad surprise was that breakfast was not included and we didn't know and had to pay 20 EUR more per...

We had no problem finding the hotel. The directions given in the hotel's website were very good. The hotel is located in a central avenue in Barcelona, not far from Las Ramblas or Plaça d'Espanya. The "metro" station is near the hotel and not hard to find. There are also some bus connections available. Next to the hotel you can...

I came here with my mate while travelling around Europe and we were very impressed by the hotel. The location is off one of the biggest streets in Barcelona centre and is in very close proximity to Paral.lel metro stop - from there the centre of the city is only 5-10 minutes maximum. There are also plenty of places to...

Good Location, 10 Minute Walk From La Rambla, Waterfront, Montjuic. In City Center Neighborhood, Good for Seeing Real City Residents and Families. Comfortable Room. No Breakfast, But Close to Multiple Eating Places.

The hotel is one block away from the metro. The rooms are small but very clean, but if you are in Barcelona you probably wont be spending to much time at the hotel. There is a lot to do there. The service was good and you have lots of restaurants around.

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
