We have been here for 3 nights. The room was very simple not even a minibar or information about the facilities. Breakfast was great and lokation perfect!

We stayed at Sant Agusti in March for four nights. I was rather concerned as I had read comments about the reception staff not being very helpful but this couldn't have been further from the fact - they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We found the breakfast to be excellent - plenty of it and good variety. Another...

Near to the gothic district, simple but elegant hotel on a square. Very good location, Ramblas, market (must see) & subway only few meters. Clean, not noisy room with nice bath, frendly staff, affordable prices. Breakfast quite "simple". Has a luggage room. Good to stay, A+

Although situated very close to the Ramblas and the boqueria market, it is very quiet. The metro station Liceu is at about 100 metres. It is a great place to stay when you want to explore Barcelona. The rooms aren't very big but clean, with good beds and a nice bathroom. The desk clerk is very friendly and the hotel...

Very near to the market "la boqueria" and the center of the city. At five minute from the subway. But please don't take the breakfast in this hotel. You can't get fresh fruit juice. No spanish ham. It's better to take the first meat of the day out or in the market. And the rooms are very noisy.

This hotel is just off the main tourist area 'The Rambles' in a relatively quiet square. Next door is a great cocktail bar and a friendly cafe that sells good coffee (and tea!) The hotel is basic but clean. The staff are kind and helpful. The only bad thing about the hotel are its pillows which are small & hard.

I spent there 3 nights and everything was perfect: the room was clean, bathroom tidy, the clerk polite and very helpful, free wi-fi... and although situated right a few meters from the Rambla and the Metro station (Liceu), very quiet and no noise at all. I'll definitely return.

Admittedly I stayed here during Mobile World Congress when hotel room rates sky rocket but at £200+ per night this is daylight robbery. It is at best a good 2 star not a 3 star and the rooms and bathrooms are very very basic. Simple things like shampoo are not replaced during your stay and there are no irons/iron boards...

This hotel known by two names - Sant Augusti and San Augustin is in a great location just off La Ramblas and about in the middle of this famous street. Extremely clean and well modernised. Reception is a pleasant place to relax and the staff helpful. The bedrooms are very clean, modern and comfortable with a reasonable amount of space....

The Hotel Sant Agusti is in the perfect location in the Heart of Barcelona. Located in a side street just off la rambla it is as near to the bright lights of Barcelona as you could want but being just off the main street it is still nice and quiet. We were greeted warmly by the hotel reception and given...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
