Excellent central location, only a few minutes walk from the aerobus stop and metro - perfect for exploring Barcelona as most places are within walking distance. Room and Hotel were spotlessly clean. We went for a Superior room which was perfect as it had a great view over La Rambla but was cosy and quiet with the balcony doors shut. Lovely room, very comfortable bed and the shower was excellent. The manager and staff at this hotel are lovely, friendly and helpful. The 24 hour buffet with a good selection of coffee (including decaff), tea, fresh juice, soft drinks and San Miguel was great! We can't wait to stay again! Many Thanks, Trudi & Jamie

Lovely hotel in a great location. At the top of Les Ramblas near the Placa de Catalunya - you can get an airport bus that drops you off in the Placa for €6 and leaves every 5 minutes. It's only a 5 minute walk to the hotel from there. Breakfast and all day food/ drinks was good. Room clean. Was promised a large double bed but the double provide was small and on wheels which meant it was very mobile! Staff very friendly and helpful.

Best hotel I've ever stayed in. The entrance is majestic and right across from the Plaça de Catalunya metro station and the Font de Canaletes. Its location therefore is superb for any traveler wanting to either see Barcelona's many sights or explore its vibrant restaurant and bar culture. The two things intertwine on many an occasion and frequently do so in the vicinity of this hotel. The entrance provides an elevator (room for about 4 people) or stairs to go up to the reception area which is lusciously carpeted in velvet tones. The 24-hour reception will always be there for you, be it for an iron, or public transport travelling advice and is consistently friendly. The 24-hour drinks and food buffet is also excellent. In the morning it adds some breakfast items (yoghurt, jelly, eggs, sausages, chorizo, chorizo, chicken) until around 11 AM, after which some more savoury items such as pasta's, chicken legs, albondigas and peas are made available in a chiller (with the latter items rotating every other day). If you want to heat up your food, there's a couple of microwaves to do so, and toasters for different bread products. Plenty of coffee machines as well, with differing options between them. The drinks buffet provides chilled milk (soy milk as well), chocolate milk (powdered), cold and hot water for teas, orange juice, soda's and a San Miguel beer tap. And as an added bonus; a frozen yoghurt machine. This really took the annoyance out of otherwise consistently having to go shopping in a little supermercat for these convenient items. You are allowed to take all items from the buffet up to your room. The buffet, situated next to the reception area, empties out into an indoor bar area and a cosy outdoor courtyard in which to enjoy the amenities. If you’d prefer to sip and sup while watching life unfold over the Ramblas, you can try to sit at one of two balconies to the other side of the reception area but these were mostly occupied already (this is where your own private balcony in your room comes in handy). There’s 2 ways to get up to your room on the floors above; either take the elevator and wait for the receptionist to buzz you through a hallway door, or walk up from the buffet area (several stairs/walkways dependent on where your room is). The walk up breathes history with the walls lining paintings and wallpaper period appropriate to the 60/70s (in the best way). The Ramblas-facing room is a square containing a fridge (with working freezer section), microwave, safe and a tv with international channels and radio stations. The bathroom is neat, clean and big enough for two (as is its shower, with both rain shower and regular showerhead options). Free daily room cleaning is offered but not necessary. I cannot stress how much you need to get the room with the private balcony overlooking the Ramblas. It provides you with a view of the pulsating aorta of the city, its players darting around either hocking stuff or just sitting down enjoying an ice cream or drink in the warm, fresh sea air. The Ramblas’ various offshoots provide you with authentic Spanish and Catalan cuisines (remember to never dine on the Ramblas itself, quality is low and prices are high there). The port is a brisk 15 minutes walk away down the Ramblas. Highly recommended to take this walk at least once as you will pass the Betlem Church and the world famous Boqueria market on your right hand side while passing by the equally sublime Plaça Reial on your left at the end before you reach the Columbus monument. Price wise we managed to get a good deal coming down to about 114 euros per night for a 7 night, 8 day stay. Best money I’ve ever spent, will definitely return one day.

We stayed at this hotel for a week and had a great time. As we arrived at midnight, it was very convenient to be able to grab food from the 24h buffet before heading to the room. Staff is also very nice. We chose the hotel mainly for its location as it is located on the Rambla. We chose our room with a balcony but I will say that the balcony is not as big as in pictures. Had an over all great stay.

The staff were all friendly and love their job. The 24/7 buffet was varied. Room very comfortable and I had a balcony overlooking La Rambla. Room cleaned daily. Central for all shops and access to tourist stops. Microwave and fridge in the room.
