Great location. Staff were super helpful, needed an iron; we got one! Needed an extra pillow; we got one...room was cleaned daily, and general standard was excellent for the cost. Room was small, but who goes to Barcelona to sit in a hotel room!!! Shower was super hot and powerful too.

The location was pretty good, half way down la rambla and a few blocks off (even though its on the wrong side). A couple other hotels around, so there were usually people around. The room was spacious and the little patio was nice. It's right next door to a grocery store, so grabbing a quick breakfast is super easy. The... More

spent 2 nights at La Terrassa, and was OK all in all. the room was tiny, not room even for the suitcase on the floor, and the balcony is also for only a single chair. the room though is very clean and the shower is new and very lovely. staff was good. Didn't like the Wifi, a lot of the... More

pros: LOCATION is great. WiFi is perfect. room was very clean. nice stuff. big safe (near the reception, not inside the room). cons: shower cell was very small. we could hear people going up and down the stairs from inside the room. no TV.

This hotel is excellent value for money. The rooms and hotel in general are very basic, but the location is amazing. Literally a 2 minute walk from the centre of las ramblas and the boqueria market. About a 10 minute walk from where the Aerobus drops you off if you are coming from the airport. Easy to find too. Great... More

We would definately stay here again as it was clean, bed was very comfortable, quiet, and the location was excellent. Also, the price was very good for the location. The only (and odd) complaint was that there were no bedside lamps and the ledge which was convenient to lay things was also at an odd height so that it was... More

Can't complain about the hostel itself as everything was clean and the staff were friendly; however the walls are PAPER THIN. We stayed in a twin room with balcony and whether it was noise from outside or from another room I was woken up at least twice a night. Every time someone from another room had a shower, used the... The hostel is in a perfect position, 2 minutes far from La Boqueria and Ramblas, so perfect for getting around the city! Rooms are very small and simple but clean and comfortable. Reception is open 24h and that's perfect! Clients are different ages and there is silence all day long. I recommend it!!!!! you have free wifi too in all... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
