The room was very clean, quite and close to everything, la sagrada familia, plaza Cataluña. The hostel its on the corner with paseo de gracia. The front desk is 24 hours it's not too expensive and I would definitely consider this hostel for my next visit.

Nice place to stay, in a really convenient location. Hotel staff were friendly. There are two parts to this hotel. The reception is in the main building, and our room was in the building next door. The room we stayed in was of a decent size, garden facing, quiet and was very clean. We traveled in July and the room...

Good place and clean room. It is good only to sleep in there, no bar or buffet. Basic place, small bathroom but enough to have a shower. Very confortable bed, I will recommend it if you're searching something central and economic.

Basically it is what you get for what you paid. the only 2 problems that we had is that the AC was on only after 6PM and that the wi-fi was poor. Hospitality was very good and the location is amazing...

1. It's a bit difficult to find ! We were grateful that we'd booked an airport shuttle direct to the hotel. There's only a small sign on the ground-floor door: ring the ball so that it opens, then it's up the stairs or use the (quite small) lift 2. Silvia on reception was delightfully helpful, and speaks good English (but...

The reception and certain room are on the 2nd floor of an old building, more rooms are on an adjacent building. Probably those are better, especially if you stay in one of the rooms facing the garden or the avenue. The location is oustanding; less than 150 meters away fom a major train station, thanks to which you can take...

Stayed at the hostel during the busy MWC week in March 2015. The hostal has a very central location just 10 minutes north of las Ramblas. Rooms are clean and average size with bathroom. Sheets and towels are provided for. Good location in the building. Staff is very helpful and friendly. A very good budget alternative in central Barcelona and...

I paid outrageous prices to stay here during a conference. One positive is that it is very clean and the bed was comfortable (but not the hard pillows). I was in the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The towels were like sandpaper. There was free wifi and the location is very accessible restaurants, Las Ramblas and other shopping.

The Hostal Ciudad Condal, in Barcelona, Spain leaves an awful lot to be desired. The only thing going for it is it's fairly clean. However, it's very noisy and tiny, and they run the business in a very confusing manner. They try to keep your passport as you check in, then they are very reluctant to write a receipt for...

Hostel Ciudad Condal is a very good place to stay. It is in walking distance to many attractions, to public transportation and is also reasonably priced. The hotel is located on Mallorca Street, a very loud and busy street. The room we stayed in was modern, very clean and located in the back overlooking the courtyard, so it was very...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
