Great boutique hotel. Pleasantly decorated - modern without being severe. Comfortable lobby/bar area. Fantastic roof deck with small pool and tables. Walking distance to most parts of the city but also located within 3 blocks of the metro. Mostly quiet (on a busy road and could sometimes hear traffic, but no tourist noise). The rooms were small but more than...

We chose this hotel based on reviews, but also somewhat at random, and we were not disappointed! Fantastic location in the heart of everything, within easy walking to La Rambla, Gaudi's Casa Batló, La Boqueria, and so much more. The property is extremely modern, with very friendly and attentive service, a rooftop breakfast with a spectacular view of the city,...

We stayed at Cram in February 2017 and had a great experience with it. The location is very convenient and the rooms are modern and new/newly renovated. The biggest advantage for us was the hotel's amazing staff. During the stay, our baby had a medical emergency and they were very very helpful and accommodating -- thank you for that!

Very funky place, great rooms, bathrooms are a bit outdated. Breakfast would have been better a la carte as its a small boutique hotel, I am sure it would save cost and increase the quality of the food. I would come back, stayed here twice in one month. Front desk staff is excellent they remember my name the 2nd stay

Well situated hotel. Close to the university and the Rambles. We didn't need to use public transport to get around. Nice rooms with a good shower. Good use of mirrors to make the room appear larger. Comfy bed and pillows. View from the rooftop is lovely.

I travel to Barcelona 2-3 times a month and since I stumbled on this place I always stay here. Very clean and modern, and super friendly staff. They also have a superb restaurant and are right in the heart of the city.

I've stayed her twice. It's a great location - walkable to everything, but still on a somewhat quiet street. Modern and clean with a great staff. My only tip would be to avoid staying in one of the rooms that shares a entry door - you will be hearing doors opening and shutting way more often than you will like....

The hotel seems to be brand new. Prime location with top service. The service feels very personal and professional. The rooms are not very big but extremely comfortable and well equipped. We stayed on the second floor towards a busy street, but the room was quiet. The top terrace is really nice. Definitely will come back!

As I always disclose I am a travel consultant however I paid full tariff for my visit. I chose The Cram in part to its affiliation with Small Luxury Hotels which are usually independently owned and operated hotels with a smaller design and orientation. Location: Barcelona's Eixample neighborhood is superior literally located between the old city and more modern neighborhoods....

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Cram is situated in the middle of the Example district of Barcelona very close to the Paseo de Gracia, Rambla de Cataluna, Plaza de Cataluna and the Ramblas.Surrounded by the cities most emblematic architecture, the hotel fits perfectly into this rich legacy. The modernist style facade dates back to 1892, and has a definite majestic elegance. The 67 rooms are planned to offer maximum comfort, they stand out warm, elegant, avant-garde aesthetic, their highly functional design and their high-tech equipment. The restaurant Angle Barcelona, 1* Michelin, is moving to Hotel Cram and will be opening its doors on June 2013, with the same philosophy and willingness to bring customers a dining experience which is sure to tantalise each one of their senses. If ABaC is the ultimate expression of Jordi Cruz' cuisine, l'Angle seeks to liven up tradition with innovative touches, high quality products and dishes altogether different from those created in the kitchens of ABaC.Attentive, warm and friendly service with common goals: to clearly convey the messages hidden in the actual recipes and define our understanding of gastronomy every day, based on memory, creativity and the best ingredients. The redesign of event and meeting rooms, whose capacities ranges from 2-70 people, placed special emphasis on enhancing light through integrated stained glass windows. The Anemos Terrace Bar, located on the 7th floor with panoramic views of Barcelona, offers a breakfast buffet from 07:00 to 11:00. It later reopens from 12.00 Am until 12.00 Pm, serving drinks, appetizers, tapas and 'informal cuisine' uninterruptedly throughout the day. The new menu offers little snapshots of the creative style of Chef Jordi Cruz. ... more   less
