Arrived to find that extensive renovations were under way. Our room was adequate but somewhat run down. On our second night, we returned to our room in the early evening to find the power to the room was out. After 30 minutes wasted while repairs were carried out we were assured the problem was solved and out we went. We...

We stayed for four nights in January and were delighted with this hotel. The rooms are charming, and the staff even more so. Nothing was too much trouble and they recommended a great restaurant for our first night. We spent many happy hours in the elegant bar, and although we didn't get to have a drink on the roof terrace,...

It is a nice place to stay, Rooms are quite small for the cost, well maintained. Location is excellent and close to most tourist spots. The balcony is quite small and did not find it of any interest. I was able to adjust the thermostat unlike some of the hotels in spain.

This is the kind of hotel I am always looking for which combines a reasonable price and a great location with other basic amenities of style, service, and cleanliness. The Pulitzer is a small hotel with relatively small rooms at a mid range price. It is not opulent or luxurious but is perfect if you will not spend a lot...

Hotel is in a great location just 2 min walk from Placa Catalunya. This is a central location. Bar and lobby are a nice relaxation point to break up the tiring walking day. The rooftop patio is a nice quiet oasis. Rooms are modern.

Enjoyed our recent stay at the Pulitzer. The staff could not be more accommodating. We arrived in the morning and were quickly shown to our room. We were anxious to get information about the hop on hop off type things and the directions to a few streets. Every question was met with a smile and more information. The hotel is...

Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. It's two-minute away from Catalunya Metro station. A lot of attractions are within walking distance as well. The rooms are clean and quiet. Highly recommend this hotel!

I can't recommend this hotel enough, whether you are staying overnight or just visiting for dinner/drinks. The hotel is very clean and has a stunning interior. There is a bar in the back, through the courtyard (which looks lovely) and through the glass hallway, past the art gallery which you can visit if you just want a drink. The staff...

I've been going there on a monthly basis for the past 2 years using the ground floor cafe for short meetings as well as their rooftop for afterwork drinks. Good product, good price, good ambiance, good location but the service need a big change. You can see the dis-motivation on the staff's face. Whether I pay 2euros for a coffee...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
